BATTERIE EINLEGEN Batterie einlegen › Batteriefach wie abgebildet öffnen. › Neue Batterie richtig herum (Plus-Pol voran) einlegen. › Batteriefachdeckel schliessen. 8 Bitte beachten Nur eine Lithium-Batterie des Typs CR-123A verwenden. › Nach 3 Minuten Nichtbenutzung schaltet die Rollei Prego automatisch ab, um Energie zu sparen. › Bei längerem Nichtgebrauch der Kamera die Batterie entnehmen. › Datumseinstellung nach einem Batteriewechsel überprüfen.
BATTERIEKONTROLLE Batteriekontrolle Das LCD-Symbol informiert über den Batteriezustand. › › › Kein Symbol – Batterie in Ordnung Symbol erscheint – Batterie reicht noch für wenige Filme. Ersatz-Batterie bereithalten. Symbol blinkt – Batterie leer, Auslösen nicht mehr möglich. Neue Batterie einsetzen. Bitte beachten Batterie nur bei ausgeschalteter Kamera wechseln. Bei Kälte oder auf Reisen Ersatz-Batterie mitnehmen. Bei niedrigen Temperaturen lässt die Batterieleistung nach.
FILM EINLEGEN Filmeinlegen 1. Entriegelungsknopf nach unten schieben, Rückwand aufklappen. 2. Filmpatrone in das Filmfach legen. 3. Filmzunge zu abgebildeter Länge herausziehen. Der Film muss flach auf der Führung liegen. 4. Rückwand zudrücken, bis sie mit einem Klicken einrastet. Dann spult die Kamera den Film automatisch bis Bild 1 vor. 5. Danach erscheint im LCD-Monitor die abgebildete Anzeige.
FILMZURÜCKSPULEN AUTO OFF FILL-IN Automatisches Rückspulen › Der voll belichtete Film wird automatisch zurückgespult. › Wenn der Film vollständig zurückgespult ist, stoppt der Motor. › Dann blinken zugleich die Symbole für Rückwand und Film im LCD-Monitor. Der Film kann entnommen werden. Bitte beachten Kamera während des Filmrückspulens nicht ausschalten. › Teilbelichtete Filme können durch Drücken des manuellen Rückspulknopfes im Kameraboden jederzeit zurückgespult werden.
DIOPTRIENEINSTELLUNG Dioptrieneinstellung › Objektiv auf tele stellen und an der Dioptrieneinstellung drehen, bis das Bild scharf erscheint. 12 TRAGESCHLAUFE ANBRINGEN Trageschlaufe anbringen Trageschlaufe wie abgebildet befestigen.
KAMERA EINSCHALTEN / ZOOMEN 38 mm Kamera Einschalten / Zoomen › Hauptschalter on/off drücken. Die Objektivabdeckung öffnet sich, die LCD-Anzeigen erscheinen. › Motiv durch den Sucher anvisieren und mit der Zoomtaste den gewünschten Bildausschnitt wählen. › Für grössere Abbildung entfernter Motive oder Nahaufnahmen auf tele drücken, für Weitwinkelaufnahmen auf wide (Weitwinkel).
KAMERAHALTUNG Kamerahaltung › Mit der Hand durch die Trageschlaufe greifen. › Kamera ruhig und fest mit beiden Händen halten, besonders bei Tele, um nicht zu verwackeln. › Ellbogen möglichst am Körper abstützen. › Kamera nahe ans Auge halten, damit das ganze Bild zu überblicken ist. › Langsam, nicht ruckartig den Auslöser drücken. 14 Bitte beachten Objektiv, Autofokus- und Belichtungssensor-Fenster sowie den Blitz nicht durch Finger, herabhängende Haare oder der Trageschlaufe verdecken.
FOTOGRAFIEREN Fotografieren › Motiv mit dem Autofokus-Messfeld in der Mitte des Sucherbildes anvisieren. (S. 7) › Den Auslöser leicht drücken. Wenn die grüne LED aufleuchtet, ist die Entfernung eingestellt. › Zum Fotografieren den Auslöser ganz herunterdrücken. › Den Auslöser vorsichtig drücken, um nicht zu verwakkeln. › Wenn die grüne LED langsam blinkt, ist das Motiv zwischen 0,68m und 1m entfernt, der Nahaufnahmemodus ist automatisch eingestellt.
SCHÄRFESPEICHER 1 2 Schärfespeicher › Der Schärfespeicher hilft beim Scharfstellen auf Objekte ausserhalb der Bildmitte (1). Das funktioniert wie folgt: 1. AF-Messfeld auf das Hauptmotiv richten. (2) 2. Auslöser leicht antippen (grüne LED leuchtet). Nicht zu fest drücken, um unbeabsichtigtes Auslösen zu vermeiden. 3. Auslöser leicht gedrückt halten und gewünschten Bildausschnitt wählen. (3) › Kamera ruhig halten und dann Auslöser ganz herunterdrücken.
DATUMSEINBELICHTUNG -- -- -Keine Einbelichtung ‘99 6 20 Jahr - Monat - Tag 6 20 ‘99 1. Einstellung des Datumformates › date-Taste drücken, um die einzelnen Formate aufzurufen. (Reihenfolge siehe Abb.) › Anzeige 1: keine Einbelichtung › Anzeigen 2, 3, 4, 5: Das Datum wird in der gewählten Reihenfolge einbelichtet.
DATUMS-/ZEITEINSTELLUNG 2s 3. Datums-/Zeiteinstellung › date-Taste 2 s lang drücken, bis der erste Wert blinkt. › Zum Einstellen der Werte Zoom-Tasten drücken (tele aufwärts, wide abwärts). › Erneutes Drücken der date-Taste bewirkt, dass der nächste Wert aufgerufen wird und blinkt. › Nach Einstellung des letzten Wertes date-Taste drükken. Anzeige hört auf zu blinken, die Einstellung ist gespeichert. Bitte beachten Nach einem Batteriewechsel steht die Einbelichtung auf -- -- -- (keine Einbelichtung).

ANTI-ROTAUGEN-LICHT 1x Anti-Rotaugen-Licht Der Rotaugen-Effekt tritt vor allem bei geblitzten Portraitaufnahmen im Dunkeln auf. › Durch das Anti-Rotaugen-Licht wird der RotaugenEffekt deutlich reduziert, weil der Vorblitz ein Schliessen der Pupillen bewirkt, bevor die Aufnahme erfolgt. › flash-Taste 1x drücken, um diese Funktion zu aktivieren 24 Bitte beachten Das Motiv sollte sich nach dem Vorblitz nicht bewegen bis der Hauptblitz gezündet hat.
BLITZABSCHALTUNG 2x Blitzabschaltung › Zum Fotografieren mit dem vorhandenen Licht und wenn Blitzen verboten oder störend ist, kann der Blitz abgeschaltet werden. › flash-Taste 2x drücken, um diese Funktion zu aktivieren. INTERVALLBELICHTUNG 5x INT Intervallbelichtung In dieser Funktion steuert ein Intervall-Timer automatisch Belichtungen in vorwählbaren, festen Zeitabständen von 10 bis 60 Sekunden in 10-Sekunden-Schritten oder von 10 bis 60 Minuten in 10-Minuten-Schritten. › self-Taste 5x drücken (4x beim Standard-Modell), bis das INT-Symbol im Monitor erscheint. UNENDLICH-EINSTELLUNG Unendlich-Einstellung › Die Unendlich-Einstellung eignet sich besonders, um entfernte oder konturlose Motive wie Wolken, Feuer, Rauch und durch Fensterscheiben oder Gitter zu fotografieren. › Unendlich-Taste drücken und gedrückt halten, um diese Funktion zu aktivieren. Bitte beachten Der Blitz ist in diesem Fall abgeschaltet. GENERAL The camera › Never try to disassemble the camera. It contains highvoltage circuits that might pose a health hazard. LOADING FILM Loading the film 1. Push release knob down and open camera back. 2. Insert film cartridge into cartridge chamber. 3. Pull out film leader as shown. Film must lie flat on film guides. 4. Click camera back shut. The camera will now automatically advance the film to frame 1. 5. REWINDING THE FILM AUTO OFF FILL-IN Automatic rewinding › After the last frame, the film is automatically rewound. › The rewind motor will stop as soon as rewinding is complete. › Completion of rewinding is indicated by flashing cameraback and film icons in the display. SWITCHING THE CAMERA ON / ZOOMING 38 mm Switching the camera on / Zooming › Press on/off switch. The lens cover opens and the display comes to life. › Sight subject through viewfinder and select frame size by pressing the corresponding zoom button. › To zoom in on distant subjects or for close-ups, press tele; for wide-angle views, press wide. During zooming, the display shows the current focal length in the following steps: 38, 45, 55, 70, 80, 90, 105, 120, 130, 140 mm.
HOLDING THE CAMERA KAMERAHALTUNG Holding the camera › Slip your hand through the wrist strap. › Hold the camera steady with both hands – above all in the Tele setting – in order to avoid camera shake. › If possible, brace both elbows against your body. › Hold the camera close to your eye to see the entire viewfinder image. › Press the shutter release slowly without jerking.
SHOOTING Shooting › Aim AF area in the center of the viewfinder at main subject (p. 7). › Press shutter release halfway. Focus has been set when the green LED lights. › To take your picture, press the shutter release fully. › Be sure to press the shutter release softly in order to avoid camera shake. › Should the green LED flash slowly, your subject is between 0.68 m and 1 m away, and the camera has switched to close-up mode. › Should the green LED flash rapidly, your subject is closer then 0.
LOCKING FOCUS 1 2 Locking focus › Locking focus can help you focus on off-center subjects (1). Proceed as follows: 1. Place AF area on main subject (2). 2. Press shutter release halfway (green LED lights). Take care not to press too hard to avoid unintentional shutter tripping. 3. Keep shutter release pressed halfway and recompose (3). › Hold camera steady and press shutter release fully. › Taking your finger off the shutter release will cancel focus lock.

Selecting the date format › Press date button to select the desired format (for sequence, see illustration). › Display 1: No imprint. › Displays 2, 3, 4, 5: The date will be imprinted in your pictures in the format selected.

2-SECOND DELAY 3x 2-second delay A two-second delay between depression of the shutter release and the exposure reduces the risk of camera shake in the case of long exposures or night photography from a tripod because it allows vibrations to die out. Press the self button three times.
INTERVAL PHOTOGRAPHY 5x Interval photography (INT) In this mode, automatic exposures can be timed at fixed intervals from 10 to 60 seconds in increments of 10 seconds or from 10 to 60 minutes in increments of 10 minutes. › Press the self button five times (four times in standard model), until the int icon appears in the display. Release button and wait until int stops blinking. Then select intervals with the zoom buttons while holding the self button down.
CLOSE-UPS (MACRO MODE) Close-ups (makro mode) The macro mode ranges from 0.68 m to 1 m in the wideangle setting and from 0.87 m to 1 m in the telephoto setting. The camera will automatically select this range if your subject is within this distance; the autofocus indicator (green LED) flashes slowly, and the icon appears in the display. » Note that the macro field of view differs from the normal one (see p. 7). PANORAMIC PHOTOGRAPHY Panoramic photography The panorama format is well-suited for especially wide or high subjects, such as groups, scenery or architectural subjects. CARE AND MAINTENANCE Care and maintenance › To clean the camera, preferably use a soft and fluffless cloth. › Never use alcohol or other chemical solvents. › Remove dust from the lens with the aid of a blower brush.
