Setting the Scene Mode
By simply selecting one of the following 19 modes, you can capture the image with the
most appropriate settings.
1. Press the SCN button.
2. Select the desired scene mode with the e/f buttons, and press the SET button.
3. Compose the image and press the shutter button.
The table below will help you choose the appropriate scene mode:
Scene mode Description
Auto
Capture images without having to set special functions or manual adjustments.
User Setting
Manually set the camera’s parameters and these settings will be memorized.
Sport Capture fast-moving subjects.
Portrait
Capture an image that makes a person stand out against a blurred background.
Night Portrait
Capture people with an evening or night scene background. Keep your
camera still!
Night Capture dark scenes such as night views. Keep your camera still!
Candlelight Capture images of candlelit scene, without spoiling the ambience. Keep
your camera still!
Fireworks
Capture fireworks clearly with optimal exposure. Using a tripod is recommended.
Landscape Capture landscape images with bright color.
Natural Green
Capture the green scenery background such as forest.
Sunrise
Capture images of sunrise scene. This mode helps keep the deep hues in the scene.
Sunset Capture images of a beautiful sunset shot that vividly captures beautiful
red colors.
Tex t
Capture an image that contains black and white subjects like printed documents.
Black & White
Capture a black & white image.
Sepia Capture a sepia image.
Splash Water
Capture images of splashing water.
Flow Water Capture the soft flowing water.
Pets Capture images of your pets. Shoot from the eye level of your pets.
Panorama Create a 360
