INTRODUCTION Thank you for purchasing the D8228 Wall mount Direct Interface. This sturdy device is designed and manufactured to the most demanding specifications in order to provide years offaithful service. The D8228 converts high impedance audio signals (1/ 8" stereo input), or XLR microphone input to a low impedance output via Rolls proprietary audio transformer. CONNECTION/ OPERATION Plug a microphone into the XLR input on the front of the unit. The Level will control the volume of the XLR input. 1/ 8" (3.5mm) Jack: Connect a Tip-Ring-Sleeve stereo plug into this jack. NOTE: Connecting a Tip-Sleeve MONO plug into this jack might lead to low volume being sent out as the right side will be shorted to ground if a mono plug is used. Connect the plugable barrier strip connector to the microphone input wires.
