Cascading or Daisy Chaining Galaxy 3G RAIDs fig 2.4.2c / 2.4.2d
Cascaded storage requires:
• One SAS HBA card in the Host PC or Server
• A network switch
• A network interface card (NIC) in the Host PC or Server
To establish the data path:
• On the G3G controller, connect a SAS data port or a SAS data/cascade port with
the  symbol to your SAS HBA card. See figure 2.4.2c Error! Reference source
not found.
• Connect the data/cascade port (with the symbol {) of the first G3G to the data
port (with the symbol ) on the second G3G.
• Connect the remaining G3G controllers in the same manner.
• You can cascade up to eight G3G subsystems.
To establish the management path:
• On the G3G controller, connect the Management Port on each Controller to your
network switch. See figure 2,4,2c
• Connect the Host PC’s or Server’s standard NIC to your network switch.
