TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION FOR ELECTRICAL WIRING
1. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS :
The installation shall generally be carried out in conforming with the requirements of the Indian Electricity Act, 1910 as
amended up to date and the Indian Electricity Rules, 1965 framed there under, the relevant regulation of the Electric Supply
Authority concerned, and also with the specifications laid down in the Indian Standard I.S. 732-1963 Code of practice (revised
for Electrical Wiring Installations (system voltage not exceeding 650 volts) and I.S. 2309-1962 Code of Practice for the
protection of buildings and Allied Structure against Lighting and IS 3043 - Indian Code of practice for Earthling. The wiring
shall also be according to the specifications of P.W.D. of the Local Government.
