7.5.7 View holding registers
The holding registers store various transmitter parameters, such as configuration data,
used to control the measurement performance.
Procedure
1. Under
Menu, select Diagnosis → Read Holding Registers.
2. In the Holding Reg. Number box, enter the holding register to start reading from.
3. Select Write to device.
4. Select Read to device (not required in Rosemount IO-Link Assistant).
Five registers will be read, starting from the selected number.
7.5.8 Edit holding registers
The holding registers store various transmitter parameters, such as configuration data,
used to control the measurement performance.
Prerequisites
Note
Do not use holding registers to configure the transmitter unless you are qualified. This
dialog is mainly used for service purposes and for advanced configuration.
Procedure
1. Unlock the write protection of the holding registers.
a)
Under Menu, select Diagnosis → Write Holding Registers → Write Holding
Registers (Word).
b) In the Register Number box, enter 0.
c) In the Value (Word) box, enter 1234.
d) Select Write to device.
2. To edit a holding register value:
a) Under Write Holding Registers (Float) or Write Holding Registers (Word),
enter the register number and the corresponding value.
b) Select Write different values to device (Write to device in Rosemount IO-
Link Assistant).
3. Verify the written value by reading the holding register number.
4. Perform a device reset to write protect the holding registers.
