Rosen “all-in-one” systems are the easiest-to-install DVD entertainment systems available today. However,

we strongly recommend reading this guide before starting the installation!

DRIVER, AND ARE TO BE INSTALLED ONLY TO BE VIEWED BY REAR-SEAT OCCUPANTS.

2 Check out the vehicle and plan your work

IMPORTANT!

The vehicle’s roof beam (above the headliner) must support the weight of the overhead con-

sole. The supplied mounting bracket must be ﬁ rmly attached to the roof beam. Determine if

this is possible and that the vehicle is suitable for the installation.

CHECK THE BATTERY

Test the battery voltage to make sure it’s fully charged and inspect battery terminals for tightness and any corrosion. This

takes 30 seconds and can save hours of troubleshooting later.

DECIDE ON A LOCATION FOR THE MAIN UNIT

Location of the main unit varies by vehicle, but is typically on the center line of the vehicle and is always behind of the

front seats. Often, the main unit’s dome lights replace the factory dome light. Securely attach the mounting bracket to the

existing roof beam(s).

1 Make sure you have the tools and components you’ll need

These common hand tools are needed in almost every installation:

 Phillips #2 screwdriver

 Knife and blades

 Digital multimeter (DMM)

 1/4” drive sockets are often needed for dashboard and trim disassembly.

 Check if Torx or Allen-drive bolts are used on any panels you will be removing.

 You will need a DVD in good condition when testing the system.

Standard installation parts you will need include wire, wire ties, wire crimp connectors or solder, and electrical insulating

tape. Installation of aftermarket automotive electronics also often requires access to special parts. It is a good idea to

have a source for these common installation parts.

 Wire cutters, strippers, and a crimping tool

 Panel-removing tools

 Marking pen or chalk, masking tape and cleaning cloths

7 Initial test, reassembly, and pre-delivery re-test

You will need to fully test the system to ensure it is working and connected to the vehicle properly. The following

steps will guide you through this process.

STEP 1: INITIAL TEST (Do this BEFORE you reassemble any Trim Panels)

a. Reconnect the vehicle battery if needed

b. Install batteries into the remote control and headphones

c. Start the vehicle (ensure that it is safe to do so, i.e. there are no tools or people under the hood)

d. Reset the system by pressing and holding the reset button located in the display pocket

e. Perform the following steps, to ensure proper operation:

• Close and reopen the unit several times with the Remote Control and control panel buttons

• With the display open insert a DVD (in good condition) and select play

• Check the audio on the IR headphones

• Select the Speaker Button and adjust the vehicle radio as needed to check the audio

• Check the video quality and adjust the display settings, if needed

• Eject the disc and reinsert it several times

• Turn Off the vehicle and wait (about 15 seconds) for the unit to turn off

• Test the dome lights for proper operation with the vehicle doors, if applicable

STEP 2: REINSTALL all trim panels removed during the installation using care not to damage any harnesses

STEP 3: PRE-DELIVERY AND RE-TEST

a. Start the vehicle (ensure that it is safe to do so, i.e. there are no tools or people under the hood)

b. Perform the following steps

• Open the unit using the Remote Control

• With the display open insert a DVD (in good condition) and select play

• Re-check IR headphones and FMM Audio

• Eject the disc

• Remove the protective ﬁ lms and clean the unit as needed

c. Place the Owners Information package in the Glove Compartment

d. Place the IR headphones and remote control in a convenient location

6 Installer setup menu

To enter the installer setup menu you must have the system on & opened. Using the remote or CPM, hit these buttons in

this sequence Eject-Domelight-Enter-Domelight. If this is done correctly the picture below should pop up on the OSD

(On Screen Display).

AUDIO SETUP

Internal FMT: To use the Internal FMT once the install is complete. Press the Speaker button on the remote or the FMM

button on the unit’s control panel. The OSD should read “Speaker Sound on FM _ _._ “ at this time the station adjust-

ments should be made by either using the left & right arrows keys on the remote or by using the left or right arrow keys on

the units control panel.

External FMM (Optional): To enable the EXTFMM (External FM Modulator) use the arrow keys on the remote to scroll

down to the option EXTFMM. Once there using the left & right arrow keys toggle on the EXTFMM.

Note: By enabling the EXTFMM this will automatically disable the Internal FMT.

Controlling Output B: Once in the installer set up menu scroll down to the Dual Zone option. Then toggle the option on

or off with the left or right arrow keys on the remote or the unit’s control panel. Once this is done the unit will automatically

enable the Ch. B Audio to Output B, hit the enter button to exit the installer setup menu. Then press the Output B but-

ton on the remote to turn the Output B function on. Once this is done you are able to change the sources for Output B by

pressing the Source button.

3 4 Cutting the headliner and mounting the bracket ! IMPORTANT! Do NOT start this step until you have inspected the headliner, roof beam, and all other essential areas to verify the installation can be successfully completed. It is your responsibility to ensure the installation is safe, secure and appropriate for the vehicle. CAUTION! STOP You will need to cut the headliner to create a path for the cables and mounting bracket.

VIDEO OUTPUT(YELLOW) AUDIO OUTPUT(L)(WHITE) Determining Dome Light Triggers If you are replacing the dome light, you will need to determine which type of trigger exists in the vehicle. Solution: Use a DMM (Digital Multi Meter) to measure the voltage at the factory dome light. Attach the DMM positive lead to one side of the bulb and the DMM negative lead to a chassis ground point. Open an close the doors to turn the light on.

6 Menu Réglage d’installation (Installer Setup menu) Pour aller au menu Réglage d’installation, le système doit être allumé et ouvert. Utilisez les boutons de la télécommande ou de l’unité centrale, sélectionnez ces boutons dans la séquence Eject-Domelight. Une image doit alors apparaître sur le menu OSD (On Screen Display).

3 4 Couper le renfort et monter le support ! IMPORTANT! Ne commencer pas cette étape tant que vous n’avez pas inspecté le renfort, traverse du toit et tous les autres endroits pour vérifier que l’installation peut se dérouler sans encombre. C’est votre responsabilité d’assurer que l’installation est sûre, bien fixée et appropriée au véhicule. ATTENTION! STOP Vous aurez besoin de couper le renfort pour créer un chemin pour les câbles et le support de montage.

FERMETURE (-)(VERT) Déterminer les déclencheurs des plafonniers Si vous remplacez les plafonniers, vous aurez besoin de déterminer quel type de déclencheur existe dans le véhicule. Solution : Utilisez un mètre numérique (DMM) pour mesurer la tension des plafonniers à l’usine. Attachez le conducteur positif DMM sur l’une des ampoules et le conducteur DMM négatif sur un point à la masse du châssis. Ouvrez et fermez les portes de la voiture pour allumer les lumières.

6 Menú de configuración de instalador Para acceder al menú de configuración de instalador debe tener el sistema encendido y abierto. Con el mando a distancia o el CPM, pulse estos botones en esta secuencia Expulsar-Luz. Si se hace correctamente debería aparecer la imagen siguiente en el OSD (Información en pantalla). CONFIGURACIÓN AUDIO FMT interno: Para usar el FMT interno cuando se finalice la instalación. Pulse el botón altavoz del mando a distancia o el botón FMM en el panel de control de la unidad.

3 4 Cortar el tapizado del techo y montar el soporte ! ¡IMPORTANTE! NO inicie esta fase hasta que haya inspeccionado el tapizado del techo, la viga del techo y todas las demás áreas esenciales para verificar que la instalación puede completarse con éxito. Es responsabilidad suya garantizar que la instalación sea segura, fija y adecuada para el vehículo. ¡PRECAUCIÓN! STOP Necesitará cortar el tapizado para crear un paso para los cables y el soporte de montaje.

VIDEO FRONTAL SALIDA(AMARILLO) DATOS EXT(VERDE) Encontrar el mejor punto de potencia Evite conectar con cables que alimenten lo siguiente: potencia de motor de ventilador/asiento/retrovisor, cables de tamaño excesivo, líneas de tensión de enchufes, líneas de tensión para radio, líneas de tensión para anticongelante, etc. Solución: Se pueden encontrar puntos de potencia abiertos en la caja de fusibles, diseñados para equipamiento accesorio. Cuando tenga dudas, pase cable directamente a la batería.

BEGINNEN SIE NICHT MIT DIESEM SCHRITT, BEVOR SIE NICHT DACHHIMMEL, DACHBALKEN UND ALLE ANDERE WICHTIGEN BEREICHE ÜBERPRÜFT HABEN UND SICH SICHER SIND, DASS DIE INSTALLATION ERFOLGREICH VOLLZOGEN WERDEN KANN. ES LIEGT IN IHRER VERANTWORTUNG ZU GARANTIEREN, DASS DIE INSTALLATION IST SICHER UND FÜR DAS BETREFFENDE FAHRZEUG ANGEMESSEN. Es ist notwendig durch den Dachhimmel zu schneiden, um Wege für Kabel und den Montagefuß zu schaffen.

SCHALTER (-) (GRÜN) VIDEO-AUSGANG (GELB) Die DVD wird vom Amfangspunkt abgespielt, wenn der Wagen gezündet wird Normalerweise sollte die DVD von dem Punkt wiedergegeben werden, an dem das Fahrzeug ausgeschaltet wurde. Wenn allerdings während des Anlassens die Spannung unter ca. 10VDC sinkt, wird die DVD von Anfang an neu wiedergegeben. Behebung: Überprüfen Sie die Batterie, um sicher zu gehen dass sie voll geladen ist. Neuwagen haben in den seltesten Fällen volle Batterien.

6 Menu setup di installazione Per accedere al menu setup di installazione, il sistema deve essere acceso e aperto. Utilizzando il telecomando o CPM, premere la seguente sequenza di tasti: Eject-Domellight. Se l’operazione viene effettuata correttamente, l’immagine sottostante appare sullo schermo - OSD (visualizzazione su schermo). 3 4 Tagliare il rivestimento del tetto e montare il braccio ! Cablaggio e collegamenti dei fili IMPORTANTE! NON iniziate questo passo se non avete controllato il rivestimento interno, la trave tetto e tutte le altre aree essenziali, per verificare che l’installazione possa essere completata con successo. È vostra responsabilità assicurarvi che l’installazione sia sicura ed appropriata per il veicolo.

VIDEO USCITA (GIALLO) AUDIO USCITA (S) (BIANCO) INTERRUTTORE (-) (VERDE) Determinare le Levette della Luce Interna Se sostituite la luce interna, dovrete determinare quale tipo di levetta esiste nel veicolo. Soluzione: usate un DMM (Multimetro Digitale) per misurare il voltaggio nella luce interna di fabbrica. Attaccate il filo positivo del DMM ad un lato del bulbo e il filo negativo del DMM ad un punto di terra del telaio. Aprite e chiudete le porte per accendere la luce.

6 Installer Setup menu Om het “Installateur Installatie Menu” binnen te gaan moet het systeem aan staan & geopend zijn. Gebruik de afstandsbediening of CPM, druk in deze volgorde op de knoppen: Eject-Domellight. Als dit correct gedaan is moet de afbeelding hieronder verschijnen op de OSD (On Screen Display). AUDIO INSTELLINGEN Interne FMT: Om de interne FMT te gebruiken als de installatie compleet is. Druk op de Speaker knop op de afstandsbediening of op de FMM knop op het controlepaneel van het toestel.

3 De dakstraal snijden en de steun monteren ! 4 BELANGERIJK! Begin deze stap niet over tot u de headliner, dakstraal en alle andere essentiële gebieden om de installatie te verifiëren met succes kunnen worden voltooid hebt geïnspecteerd. Het is uw verantwoordelijkheid te verzekeren de installatie veilig en aangewezen is voor het voertuig. CAUTION! STOP U zult headliner moeten snijden om een weg voor de de kabels en het opzetten steun te creëren.

TRIGGER (-) (GROEN) Het beste Stroompunt vinden Vermijd verbinding met fan/zetel/spiegels kabels, overgrote kabels, straalkabels, radio verbinding, ontvriezer, enz. Oplossing: Vrije stroompunten kunt u vinden in de schakelbox die ontwikkeld is voor accessoires uitrusting – indien in twijfel trek een draad rechtstreeks naar de batterij. Bepalen van Koepel lichten triggers Als u het koepellicht vervangt zult u moeten bepalen welk type van trigger in het voertuig bestaat.
