It is your best record of the date of purchase, which you will need in the event warranty service is required. Placement Use common sense when placing the RCD-991 in a cabinet or when stacking other equipment. Make sure that the shelf or cabinet can support its weight. Do not stack heavy components on top of the RCD-991.

Specific instructions for each of these controls are detailed below. Some of the buttons are duplicated on the front panel and on the IR remote control. However, there are many instances where the buttons are only available on one or the other. These are noted in the following instructions.
STEREO COMPACT DISC PLAYER RCD-991 DIRECT ACCESS Buttons (remote only) 18 These eleven numeric buttons (labeled 1 through 10 and >10) are used to directly access a track from the remote control instead of stepping through the tracks using the TRACK buttons. The first ten tracks on a disc can be selected by pressing the corresponding button. For example, to play the third track, press the 3 button on the remote control.
English If you do not press the REVIEW button while the track number is flashing, the review process is terminated and the unit resumes whatever mode it was in before you started to review, except that the last reviewed track number will remain active and shown in the display. LECTEUR DE DISQUES COMPACTS STÉRÉO RCD-991 Commutateur général d’alimentation 1 5 et témoin Le commutateur d’alimentation est situé sur la façade du lecteur. Pour mettre le lecteur en circuit, enfoncer le commutateur. Le témoin à diode électroluminescente situé au-dessus du commutateur devrait s’allumer pour indiquer que l’appareil est sous tension. Pour fermer l’appareil, enfoncer à nouveau le commutateur pour le ramener en retrait à sa position «hors circuit».
Français On peut fermer le tiroir de deux façons, soit en appuyant sur la touche OPEN (OUVRIR), soit en appuyant sur la touche PLAY (LECTURE). Télécommande à infrarouges Avant d’utiliser la télécommande à infrarouges, on doit y installer deux piles «AAA» (fournies). STEREO-CD-PLAYER RCD-991 Netzschalter 5 und Betriebsanzeige 1 Der Netzschalter ist in die Gerätefront des RCD-991 integriert. Zum Einschalten drücken Sie den Netzschalter. Die Betriebsanzeige über dem Schalter und das Display beginnen zu leuchten und zeigen an, daß der CD-Player eingeschaltet ist. Drücken Sie zum Ausschalten des CD-Players erneut den Netzschalter. Hinweis: Ist der CD-Player an eine geschaltete Zubehörsteckdose angeschlossen, sollten Sie ihn eingeschaltet lassen.

Español Para utilizar el mando a distancia por infrarrojos, oriéntelo hacia el sensor de infrarrojos situado en el visualizador de funciones del RCD-991. Visualizador de Funciones 4 Un visualizador de funciones iluminado situado en el panel frontal del RCD-991 proporciona información útil sobre el estado del aparato, así como sobre la activación de funciones especiales y sobre los tiempos y pistas del disco que esté siendo reproducido.
LECTOR DE DISCOS COMPACTOS RCD-991 Pueden seleccionarse las primeras diez pistas de un disco pulsando la tecla correspondiente. Por ejemplo, para reproducir la pista número 3 basta con pulsar la tecla 3 del mando a distancia. El número de la pista seleccionada aparecerá en la parte central del Visualizador de Funciones, procediéndose a la reproducción de dicha pista.
Español STOP. Si usted pulsa la tecla PLAY, se reproducirá el programa memorizado en vez de la totalidad del disco, iniciándose la lectura en la primera pista de la lista memorizada. Cuando se haya memorizado un programa, la mayoría de funciones que en condiciones normales afectarían a la totalidad del disco actuarán únicamente sobre el programa en cuestión. Por ejemplo, las teclas TRACK permitirán avanzar hacia la pista siguiente del programa memorizado y no a la siguiente pista de dicho disco.
LECTOR DE DISCOS COMPACTOS RCD-991 inducidas por el “dither” son sutiles y por tanto que no es posible realizar ajustes incorrectos en el RCD-991. Experimente y encuentre la selección que más le plazca. El visualizador del “dither”, ubicado en la parte izquierda del Visualizador de Funciones principal, muestra un único dígito para indicar los diferentes tipos de “dither” proporcionados por el RCD-991, que son los siguientes: La ausencia de visualización indica que el “dither” está desactivado.
