electricoutletsfordamage,assurepropergrounding,makesureno
wireswereexposedoverthecolderseasons.Re‐checkforanyleaks
whileyourpoolfilterisbeginningtoworkandkeepcheckingoverthe
nextfewdaystomakesurethewater
levelinyourpoolismaintained
andnoripsortearsweremadeinthelinersinceyoulastusedit.Clear
theareaandinspectforsafetyhazardstothoseusingthepool,like
trippinghazardsorslipperyplaces.
Now,you’llneedtogiveyourpoolathoroughcleaningbefore
getting
intothewater.Skimthepool,thenvacuumandbrushoutthewater.If
thewaterisparticularlycloudyorfullofalgae,makesureyouvacuum
towaste(fillthepoolclosetothetopifyou’llbevacuumingalotof
waterouttowaste).
Onceyour
waterisonitswaytobeingcrystalclear,checkyourpool’s
chemicalbalancewithaqualitytestkit.You’llneedtopurchasenew
testreagentseveryyearwhenyouopenyourpool.
