Because of the circular wide-angle lens of the dash cameras to
capture the details on wide side, some distortion in the image is
created. It is widely known as the fish-eye lens effect. This
feature allows the camera to digitally correct the distortion of the
images by applying the distortion correction algorithm.

This feature will allow you to flip your video 180 degree so you can
still have a correct side of image when the camera is mounted
upside-down.
