BURST OF STEAM
M
To remove stubborn wrinkles or
press in a sharp crease, use the
burst of steam button.
M
Press the button firmly, a strong
burst of steam penetrates deep into
the fabric.
M
Leave an interval of at least four
seconds between pressing the burst
of steam button.
M
With water in the tank, the burst of
steam button can be used as soon
as the steam ironing temperature
has been reached (
lll).

VERTICAL STEAM
M
The iron can also be used vertically.
This is especially useful for getting
creases out of hanging clothes,
curtains, tapestries, etc.
M
To steam vertically, press the burst
of steam button while holding iron
in the upright position.
Warning:
Never iron clothes while they are being worn.

PRO VERTICAL STEAM (depending on model)
To be used at maximum temperature setting

This feature generates a powerful vertical steam and
is ideal for removing creases from hanging clothes
(e.g. suits, jackets, shirts), hanging curtains etc.

Hang up garment on a hanger.
M
Set the variable steam control to position.
M
Hold the iron a few inches away from the garment to avoid
burning delicate fabrics.
M
Press the PRO Vertical Steam button every 2 seconds to
generate a steady flow of steam.
M
Move the iron from top to bottom.
When using PRO Vertical Steam, we recommend periodically
placing the iron down to allow it to reheat.
Before placing the iron on its heel, wait for the steam flow to
finish. As the steam is very hot in the beginning it will be not
visible. You will hear the steam function engage and after few
bursts it will be visable.
Warning:
Never direct the steam jet at persons or animals.
POINTS TO NOTE
If the iron has not been used for a long time (e.g. several
weeks) the steam channels should be cleaned and any depos-
its removed from the iron. To do this, hold the iron horizontal-
ly before you start to use it and allow it to produce steam for
about 1 minute. Also activate the burst of steam button several
times.
