3. Software Setup
a. Connect this device to the PC properly as described in the previous chapter.
b. Enter the Windows 98 Operating System.
c. Select "Start" "Settings" "Control Panel" (Figure 1).
d. Select "Multimedia" (Figure 2).
e. Under the "Multimedia" dialog box, select the "Audio" option (Figure 3).
f. Under "Playback", "Preferred device:", select "USB Audio Device" (Figure 3).
g. Click on "Apply" and then "OK" (Figure 3).
h. Select "Multimedia" (Figure 2).
i. Under the "Multimedia" dialog box, select the "CD Music" option (Figure 4).
j. Click on "Enable digital CD audio for this CD-ROM device" (Figure 4).
k. Click on "Apply" and then "OK" (Figure 4).
l. You can now start using your USB Speakers. To switch back to the original
"analog audio input signal", disable the "Enable digital CD audio for this CD-
ROM device" (Figure 4) feature. Then, use the "Preferred device" parameter to
change back to your original device (Figure 3).
