Paste Special 
Paste Special gives you greater control over pasting than when using the Paste command. You can: 
•  Paste portions of the Windows Clipboard to a screen 
•  Paste to multiple screens. 
For important applications of the Paste Special command, see Listen Key Setup using Copy and Paste Special, or 
Scroll Enable Setup using Copy and Paste Special. 
PL Alpha combo box 
The PL Alpha Combo box shows the alpha assigned to the current party-line (PL) system. 
PL Number 
The PL Number box shows the number assigned to the current party-line (PL) system. 
PL Listener button 
Use the PL Listener button to make the selected port(s) permanent listeners (P-L) for the currently viewed PL 
assignment. The permanent listener assignment is usually only used with non-intelligent devices (i.e. devices that 
cannot instruct the intercom system on how to route the audio). 
This option is usually not used with keypanels. 
PL Talker button 
Use the PL Talker button to make the selected port(s) permanent talkers (P-T) for the currently viewed PL 
assignment. The permanent talker assignment is only used with non-intelligent devices (i.e. devices that cannot 
instruct the intercom system on how to route the audio). 
This option is usually not used with keypanels. 
Port Alphas 
Use the Port Alpha screen to assign names and descriptions to intercom ports. When you assign the ports to 
keypanel keys (using keypanel setup) these names appear in the alphanumeric displays on the keypanel. 
Note: You can also change the name for a particular intercom port by pressing Ctrl+F12 while viewing that port.
