Activating the AP Log and Sending the Log to a

Syslog Server

1 After logging in to the Web User interface, click Log under Administrator.

The Administrator::Log workspace appears.

2 Look for Log status and click Enabled. (By default the log is disabled.)

3 After enabling the log, you can make the following changes:

Syslog server address [Optional] To enable the AP to send messages to a sys-

log server as they appear, enter the IP address for the

server in this field.

Syslog server port By default the port number is 514. If the syslog server

watches a different port, enter that port number in this

field.

4 Click Update Settings to save and apply your changes.
