Memory Banks
This function allows the creation of various aspect ratios while the
horizontal scan rate stays the same.
If this feature is ON, then the unit will have the capability of having eight
(8) separate aspect ratios within the same frequency (there are a total
of 32 separate memories if all eight memory banks are used. For
example, then a total of 4 frequencies can be input [4 freqs x 8 memory
banks = 32]). To create different memories, clear all the menus from
the screen (press "exit" until the screen is clear). Then, press "EN-
TER." A box will appear in the bottom right hand corner indicating in
which memory bank the unit is (i.e., MEMORY BANK: 1.): Next, press
a number (1—8) representing to which memory bank the new screen
size will be assigned. The new memory bank number will be displayed.
To ensure the new memory is saved, perform any convergence
function on the new memory.
This function is intended for customers with a need for various aspect
ratios, especially those with widescreens. From the Runco factory,
three (3) memory banks are assigned for each frequency:
Memory Bank 1: 3:4 (1:1.33)
Memory Bank 2: widescreen (1:1.78 or l.85)
Memory Bank 3: Anamorphic
If this feature is OFF, then each of the 32 memories will be scan rate
dependent. In other words, each of the 32 memories MUST have a
different frequency. This is especially useful for use with computers
and their different resolutions.
