2 Commissioning Procedure
Before mounting the PicoPlus BS on a pole or wall, the BS should be commissioned, by
configuring the basic parameters required for communication and remote management.
The BS commissioning procedure consists of the following steps
• Connect the power to the BS.
• Install and run the RCMS application (provided on the Setup CD) on a computer used
for commissioning.
• Open an RCMS session to the BS.
• Set the BS basic parameters to allow future remote management connection and basic
traffic (some of these parameters are configured using RCMS and others using a
standard MIB Browser).
