Userinterfacetheme
Selecttheuser‐interfacethemethatyouwishtouseinPhoenixfromaselection.Thiswillchangethewaythatallof
theuser‐interfaceelementsappearwhileusingtheprogram.
Displayhotkeys
Thisoptioncontrolswhethermodel‐specifichotkeysareshownwhenyouselectanewmodelforthefirsttime.
Resethelpmessages
Clickingthisbuttonwill resetallhelp/warningmessagesthatappearwhenyouselectcertainprogramoptions.Many
oftheseoptions,suchastheQuitProgramconfirmationmessagehaveanoptionto“Notshowthismessageagain”.
Ifyouhavepreviouslyhiddenamessageusingthisfeature,clickthisbuttontoresetthemsothattheyareshownin
future.
Physics
ThePhysicssectioncontrolssimulationsettings.
CameraSpeed
Thisslidercontrolshowquicklythecamerawillfollowyourmodel.Ahigher(faster)settingmeans thatthecamera
will stay more rigidly pointing at the exact position of the model, while a lower (slower) setting will letthe model
movetotheedgesofthescreenwhenitistravellingfaster.Arealisticsettingis aroundthedefaultof50%value.
SimulationSpeed
Thisslidercontrolsthetotalspeedofthesimulation.Thedefault(100%)valueisthenormalspeedofthesimulation,
whereallmodelsaremovingatrealisticvelocities.
Reducingthissliderbelow100%willcausethesimulationtoappearinslow‐motion,makingiteasiertocontrolthe
simulatedmodels.
Increasing the slider above 100% will cause the simulation to take on a “fast forward” effect, making it harder to
controlthesimulatedmodels.
Wewouldnotusuallyrecommendchangingthistoothervaluesthan100%exceptwhenattemptingtoperfectavery
trickymanoeuvre,whereyouwouldsettheslidertoalowsettingandgraduallyincreasebackto100%asyougain
proficiency.

Crash/Breakagehandling
Thisdrop‐downboxletsyou sethow Phoenixwillactwhenyour modelhas sustainedacrash ordamage,i.e.from
impactingtheground,anobstacleoranothermodel.
• Immediately–Whenanyimpactordamageoccurs,immediatelyresetthemodel
• After1second–Whenanyimpactordamageoccurs,resetthemodelafterwaiting1second
• After3seconds(Default)–Whenanyimpactordamageoccurs,resetthemodelafterwaiting3seconds
• After10seconds–Whenanyimpactordamageoccurs,resetthemodelafterwaiting10seconds
