About this microwave oven Microwaves are high-frequency electromagnetic waves similar to radio waves. While radio waves may vary in length from one metre to many kilometres, microwaves are very short (less than 12.5 centimetres). Microwaves do not make any heat themselves but only cause water molecules in food to vibrate. This vibration produces heat that cooks the food. This is why your food will come out of the microwave piping hot, when your utensils inside the oven stay much cooler.

Do not use the oven when it is empty. This could damage the oven. Do not store anything in the oven, such as papers, cookbooks and so on.
Warning: this appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to make sure that they do not play with the appliance.

How to use your microwave oven Control panel Each time you press a key pad, the oven will beep to acknowledge you have pressed it. To stop cooking at any time, open the door or press the 'Cancel' button. Use the numerical key pads to set the cooking time from 1 second to 99 minutes and 99 seconds. If you are setting a time greater than 1 minute, you must enter numbers for both minutes and seconds. Setting the clock This is 24 hour clock.
2 Enter the length time you want to cook the food for using the numerical key pads. For example, to cook for 24 minutes, press '2,4,0,0'. 3 To set the power, press the 'Power' key pad, the display will show 'P10'. If you want to choose a different power level setting, press the 'Number' key pad you want from the chart on page 8. The power level will be displayed. 4 Press the 'Start' key pad to start cooking, the microwave symbol will light up and the microwave oven will now start to count down.
After the time has elapsed, the microwave will automatically beep 3 times. It will continue to be three times every 2 minutes until the door is opened or the 'Cancel' key pad is pressed. Pre-set You can pre-set the oven to start cooking at a later time. For example, if the current time is 2.30pm, you can set the oven to start at 4.30pm and cook for 20 minutes. 1 Press the 'Pre-set' key pad. The display will show ':0' and the clock symbol will light up. 2 Press the numerical key pads '1, 6, 3, 0'.
Express This function has 4 settings for fast heating at 100% high power. For example, if you want to heat food for 15 seconds, press the 'Express' key pad once and then press the 'Start' key pad. If you want to heat food for 30 seconds, press the 'Express' key pad twice and then press the 'Start' key pad. If you want to heat food for 1 minute, press the 'Express' key pad three times and then press the 'Start' key pad.
For foods exceeding the maximum weights, please use the jet defrost function. Program cooking with Jet defrost and Weight defrost You can program the oven to defrost food using either the jet defrost or weight defrost and then cook the food. To defrost for 25 minutes and cook for 10 minutes. Using the Jet defrost function 1 Press the 'Jet defrost' key pad. The display will show ':0' and the jet defrosting symbol will light up.
6 Press the 'Start' key pad. The food will now defrost for 25 minutes and then cook for 10 minutes, when the program has finished the oven will beep 3 times and continue to beep every 2 minutes until the door is opened or the 'Cancel' key pad is pressed. Note: Jet defrost and Weight defrost can only be chosen before a cooking program. It cannot be selected in between or after stage 1 or stage 2. Child safety lock To prevent children using the microwave oven, the safety lock can be set.
Cleaning and care ➢ Before you clean the microwave oven, turn it off and unplug it. ➢ Keep the inside of the oven clean. When food or liquids stick to the oven walls, wipe with a damp cloth. We recommend that you do not use harsh detergent or abrasives. ➢ You should clean the outside of the oven with a damp cloth and polish dry with a soft dry cloth. Don’t allow water to seep into the ventilation openings. ➢ Do not allow the control panel to become wet. Clean with a soft, damp cloth.
Problem solving The microwave oven may cause interference to your radio, TV or similar equipment. If it does, you can get rid of the interference by moving the radio, TV or equipment as far away from your microwave oven as possible. If the oven doesn’t work, if the display does not appear or if the display has disappeared ➢ Make sure the oven is plugged in securely. If it is not, remove the plug from the socket, wait 10 seconds and plug it in again securely.
Connection to the mains supply WARNING- THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED This appliance is designed to operate from a mains supply of AC230V ~ 50HZ. Check that the voltage marked on the product corresponds with your supply voltage. This product is fitted with a 13A plug complying with BS1363.
