Product Overview The 860 Phantom IR Receiver receives IR signals from a handheld IR remote control and relays these signals to the audio-video equipment for operation from another room. It mounts inconspicuously to a flat surface with two-sided tape (included). The blue talkback LED can be disabled by snipping the wire that loops out of the 860 near the leads. Features • CFL friendly- allows installations in areas with compact fluorescent lighting. Works in most lighting environments.
Wire Connections Direct Connection from 860 Phantom to Connecting Block Connect the 860 Phantom to the 857 connecting block. Connect GND (GROUND), IR (SIGNAL) and Voltage(+ 12VDC) to connector on the 857.
Wire Connections Extended Leads from 860 Phantom to Terminal Strip to Connecting Block A terminal strip is included for extending the leads. Determine the cable type needed to suit the local conditions of the installation. The extended connection between the IR receiver and the connecting block should be made with twisted-pair wiring (i.e., CAT-5e cable).
Limited Warranty The Russound 860 IR Receiver is fully guaranteed for two (2) years from the date of purchase against all defects in materials and workmanship. For this warranty to apply, the unit must be installed and used according to its written instructions. During this period, Russound will replace any defective parts and correct any defect in workmanship without charge for either parts or labor. Accidental damage and shipping damage are not considered defects under the terms of this warranty.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW The 857 Connecting block connects IR receivers, power supply and emitters together to interface the IR system to the audio I video components.
TOACOUTLET LED UGHTS RED WITH POWER Figure 1 Status Power: 12VDC 200mA 2.1 mm +tip -sleeve. Connecting a power supply to this connection will power the status connection. The green LED will be illuminated when powered. This can be from a 12 volt trigger output or from a wall type power supply plugged into a switched outlet of a stereo receiver.
IR Receiver In: This is a three terminal 1/8" plug that is common to many of the free standing IR receivers. This will connect the power, ground and signal. Signal is Tip, ground is the ring and power is the sleeve.
