PRODUCT APPLICATION
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE
STARTING PROJECT
SURFACE PREPARATION
Remove loose paint and rust with a wire brush or sandpaper.
Lightly sand smooth and glossy surfaces. Wipe the surface
clean with Rust-Oleum Wax & Tar Remover and then let dry.
PRODUCT APPLICATION (cont.)
APPLICATION
Shake can vigorously for one minute after mixing ball begins
to rattle. If mixing ball fails to rattle DO NOT STRIKE CAN.
Contact Rust-Oleum. Shake often during use. Hold can
10-16" from surface and spray in a steady back-and-forth
motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. Keep the can the
same distance from the surface. Keep the can in motion
while spraying. For best appearance, apply one light coat
followed by one heavier coat.
NOTE: Rust-Oleum Wheel Paint features an advanced
spray system that allows you to spray at any angle, even
upside down for those hard to reach areas. A comfort spray
tip with wider finger pad reduces fatigue caused by
continuous spraying.
DRY & RECOAT TIMES
Based on 70°F and 50% relative humidity. Dries to touch in
10 minutes and is fully dry in 30 minutes. Allow more time at
cooler temperatures. Apply an additional coat at any time.
For an even glossier finish, top coat with Rust-Oleum Wheel
Clear after 10 minutes.
CLEAN-UP
Wipe off tip when finished. Clean up wet paint with Xylol or
Acetone. Throw away empty can in trash pickup. Do not
burn or place in home trash compactor.
CLOGGING
If valve clogs, twist and pull off spray tip and rinse it in a
solvent such as Acetone. Do not stick a pin or other objects
into the stem.
