DESCRIPTION AND USES .
Rust-Oleum
®
Concrete Stain is a penetrating water-based stain
designed for use on bare interior and exterior concrete and
masonry surfaces. This convenient spray is ideal for use on
small statuary, for adding accent colors to larger projects or for
touch up of previously stained projects.
Application works best on bare interior and exterior concrete and
masonry surfaces. Existing coatings or sealers must be removed
prior to applying Concrete Stain Sprays. Test for a sealer by
lightly sprinkling water onto the concrete. If water droplets bead
up, rather than soak into the concrete, then a sealer is present
and it must be removed prior to staining.
Concrete Stain Sprays features a comfort tip with a wider finger
pad to reduce fatigue caused by continuous spraying and an
any-angle tip which allows you to spray at any angle.

..PRODUCT APPLICATION .
SURFACE PREPARATION
Proper surface preparation is critical to performance. Allow
new concrete to cure for a minimum of 28 days prior to
coating. Before staining bare concrete surfaces, remove
any oil or grease spots with a heavy duty degreaser, sold
separately. Follow manufacturer’s directions for use.
When staining small statuary or when using to add and
accent color over a previously stained surface, etching is
not necessary. Make sure the surface is clean and free of
dirt.

APPLICATION
Shake can vigorously for one minute after the mixing ball
begins to rattle. If mixing ball fails to rattle DO NOT
STRIKE CAN. Contact Rust-Oleum. Shake often during
use. Hold can upright 10-12” from surface and spray in a
circular or figure eight pattern. Apply the basecoat evenly
(100% coverage) and allow to dry approximately 1 hour
before applying accent color(s). Keep the can the same
distance from the surface. Keep the can in motion while
spraying. If desired, apply accent color(s) over the
basecoat to provide the desired level of contrast. Allow to
air dry a minimum of 1 hour before sealing. Note: Final
results may vary do to the natural variance that exists in
concrete. Do not use near open flame.
DRY & RECOAT
Dry and recoat times are based on 70°F (21°C) and 50% relative
humidity. Allow more time at cooler temperatures. Dries to touch
in 1 hour and can be recoated in 1 hour.
