1. PREPARE: Before you start, read through all instructions on each of your Restore products. Make sure that
there is no rain forecasted in your area for the next 48 hours, and that the temperature will not drop below 50
degrees, even overnight.
2. CLEAN: Following the label’s instructions, wash your deck with Restore Deck & Concrete Cleaner, and then
let it dry completely. Check your deck for any loose screws, nails, or boards, and replace them as needed.
3. PRIME: Before you start to prime, tape and mask o any siding or portions of your deck that you want to
protect from paint. Always stir your paint and primer according to the label’s instructions. Use a paint brush to
apply a generous, even coat of Restore Deck Start Wood Primer to your railings, balusters, and posts. Then,
use your 3/8” nap roller to roll a thick coat onto the entire deck oor. Let the primer dry completely for at least
two hours. It will go on milky, but dry clear.
4. COAT: Use a paint brush to apply two even coats of Restore 4x Deck Coat to your deck’s railings, posts, and
balusters. Allow 4-6 hours in between coats (the paint should not be tacky).
Next, use your Restore 9” Honeycomb Roller to apply an even coat of Restore 10x Advanced to the deck’s
oor, working on 1-2 boards at a time. While you apply Restore 10x, roll in one direction with slight downward
pressure, and use a paint scraper to remove excess coating in between the boards. Let your rst coat dry for 4-6
hours (it should not be tacky), and then apply a second coat.
5. FINISH: Let your nal coat dry completely for 48 hours. Once it’s dry, replace your furniture and enjoy your
new deck!
