DESCRIPTION AND USES

EPOXYShield

Water-based One Part Concrete Paint is modiﬁed

acrylic ﬂoor paint designed for use on carports, garages,

driveways, basements, porches, patios, walkways, and pool

decks. It may also be used on indoor or outdoor vertical

masonry or concrete surfaces. It is not intended for use on

unsound previous coatings or ﬂoors that have a moisture

problem.

APPEARANCE

Dries to a satin ﬁnish. Solid base color with a color ﬂeck ﬁnish.

Available in standard Armor Gray or Battleship Gray and a tint

base that can be tinted to 14 colors. Decorative vinyl chips in

various color combinations can be purchased separately to be

used with this coating.

PRODUCT APPLICATION

SURFACE PREPARATION

Allow new concrete to cure for a minimum of 28 days. Sweep

away all loose dirt and debris. Remove any oil spots, grease or

spills and wash the ﬂoor with a suitable detergent or degreasing

solution and rinse. Then etch the ﬂoor using the Rust-Oleum

Concrete Etch.

PREVIOUSLY COATED FLOORS: Make sure the ﬂoor is clean and

dry. Use a wire brush to remove any loose or peeling paint or stain.

If ﬂoor is sealed, the sealer will have to be removed by grinding

or shot blasting. To ensure proper adhesion, scuff sand the entire

surface. WARNING! If you scrape, sand or remove old paint,

you may release lead dust. LEAD IS TOXIC. EXPOSURE TO LEAD

DUST CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ILLNESS SUCH AS BRAIN DAMAGE,

ESPECIALLY IN CHILDREN. PREGNANT WOMEN SHOULD ALSO

AVOID EXPOSURE. Wear a NIOSH-approved respirator to control

lead exposure. Clean up carefully with a HEPA vacuum and a wet

Do not mix the color chips in with the coating. APPLICATION Apply only when air, material, and surface temperatures are between 60-85°F (15-29°C) and the surface temperature is at least 5°F (3°C) above the dew point. The relative humidity should not be greater than 85%. Stir thoroughly.
