8-3. Use the device with a computer

As a USB mass storage device, the device offers a convenient way to save, back up and move

les. The device connects to a computer using a USB connection and does not require special

software to be installed. The device is automatically displayed as a removable drive, allowing

you to simply drag and drop les to and from the unit.

► Notes

• Do not disconnect the device while les are transferred from or to the device. Data is still being

transferred while the record/play indicator light is blinking in orange.

• Do not format the Recorder on a computer.

8-4. Structure of Recording File

Example: IC_130101(Year/Month/Date)_A(Folder Name)0001(File Number).le format

★ Tip regarding a good way to name recording le and manage recording les:

1) If you recorded an important conversation, it is better to copy this recording le to PC.

2) Name specic subject to recording le. For example, if conversation with person A was re-

corded, you can name it as “conversation with person A_IC_130101_A001” on your PC.

3) This way will be useful to retrieve & manage multiple recording les as time goes by.
