ATTACHING RAIL ASSEMBLY TO GARAGE
DOOR OPERATOR
See Figures 15 - 16.
Locate the following items:
Garage Door Operator
Bracket (2)
Nut (4)
Rail Assembly
Place the garage door operator on a towel or the
packaging material with the light cover facing down.
Hold the rail assembly above the garage door operator
with arrow pointing toward the front of the operator.
Place the end rail onto the motor shaft with the channel
(open end) facing down.
Place the brackets on top of the studs, and over the end
rail. Secure in place using nuts. Tighten securely.

Nut
Turn the nut clockwise to tighten the belt and counter-
clockwise to loosen it. Adjust the nut until there is
approximately 3/8 to 1/2 in. of exposed thread showing
above it.
When properly tensioned, there should be about a
1/8 in. gap between the belt and the bottom of the rail
near the center of the rail assembly.
