14 FT. RAIL EXTENSION KIT FOR
GD200 GARAGE DOOR OPENER

To reduce the risk of injury, do not attempt to use this product
until you have read thoroughly and understand completely this
operator’s manual and the operator’s manual for the GD200
garage door opener. Ensure compatibility and fit before using
this accessory. Do not use this accessory if a part is damaged
or missing.

These instructions replace the instructions for Assembling the Rails
in the operator’s manual for the GD200 garage door opener and
the figures below replace the corresponding figures in the manual.

The following items are included with this kit:
Extension Sleeves (A), Large Extension Rails (B), Small Extension
Rail (C), Extended Belt (D), Emergency Release Rope (E), and
Operator’s Manual.
The following items are included with the GD200 garage door
opener and are not in this kit:
End Rail (F), Intermediate Rail (G), Front Rail (H), Sleeves (I), Front
Brace (J), and Outer Trolley (K).
REMOVING PULLEY ROD FROM FRONT PULLEY
See Figures 3 - 6.
Locate the front pulley (L) inside the end rail (not included) [F].
Remove tie wrap securing the front pulley (L) to the end rail (not
included) [F].
Slide the front pulley (L) to the front of the end rail (not
included) [F].
Turn the tension nut (M) on the pulley rod (O) counterclockwise
to loosen.
Remove the tension nut (M) and spring (N) from the pulley
rod (O).
Tilt the pulley rod (O) up and pull it away from the front pulley (L).
Pull the front pulley (L) through the front of the end rail (F).
REMOVING BELT FROM INNER TROLLEY AND
REAR PULLEY
See Figures 7 - 9.
Remove the old belt (S), inner trolley (P) and rear pulley (Q) from
the back of the end rail (not included) [F].
Using a Philips screwdriver, remove the five screws securing
the trolley cover (R) to the inner trolley (P). Note the position of
the screws for reassembly.
Remove the trolley cover (R).
Remove the old belt (S) from the inner trolley (P).
Using a Philips screwdriver, remove the screws securing the
pulley cover (U) to the rear pulley (Q).
Remove the pulley cover (U) and the old belt (S) from the rear
pulley (Q).
Remove the old belt (S) from the front pulley (L) and rear
pulley (Q).
ASSEMBLING RAILS
See Figure 10.
Insert the edge of the end rail (not included) [F] into a sleeve
(not included) [I]. Slide together until rail clicks in place.
NOTE: If you cannot get the rail to fit by hand, try gently tapping
it with a rubber mallet until it is snug and clicks into place.
Repeat this process to attach the intermediate rail (not
included) [G], second sleeve (not included) [I], front rail (not
included) [H].
From this kit, add an extension sleeve (A) the large extension
rail (B), another extension sleeve (A), the second large extension
rail (B), the last extension sleeve (A), and the small extension
rail (C).
CONNECTING EXTENDED BELT TO FRONT PULLEY
See Figure 11.
Loop the new extended belt (D) around the front pulley (L) with
the teeth facing inward.
NOTE: Ensure that the c-clip on the front pulley (L) is facing up.
Pull the new extended belt (D) through the front pulley (L) until
the left and right sides of the belt are nearly equal.
ATTACHING INNER TROLLEY TO EXTENDED BELT
See Figures 8, 11, and 12.
Position the inner trolley (P) betwen the left and right sides of
the new extended belt (D).
Place the right side of the new extended belt (D) into the
channel (W) with the teeth facing inward.
Secure the ends of the new extended belt (D) into the grooves
(T) in the inner trolley (P).
Replace the trolley cover (R) and secure with screws.
CONNECTING EXTENDED BELT TO REAR PULLEY
See Figure 9.
Loop the new extended belt (D) around the gear (V) on the rear
pulley (Q) with the teeth facing inward.
Replace the pulley cover (U) and secure with screws.
INSERTING FRONT PULLEY, OUTER TROLLEY,
INNER TROLLEY, AND REAR PULLEY
See Figures 5, 7, and 13.
Attach the pulley rod (O) to the front pulley (L).
Insert the front pulley (L), new extended belt (D), outer trolley (K),
and inner trolley (P) into the end rail (not included) [F] and slide
forward.
NOTE: Position and insert the inner trolley as shown in figure 7.
Insert rear pulley (Q) into end rail (not included) [F]. Slide together
until pulley clicks in place.
Slide the inner trolley (P) and outer trolley (K) together until
they engage. Then, move both trolleys to the middle of the rail
assembly.
ATTACHING FRONT BRACE
See Figures 14 and 15.
Insert the edge of the front brace (not included) [J] into the small
extension rail [C]. Slide together until brace clicks in place. If
you cannot get the brace to fit by hand, try gently tapping it
with a rubber mallet until it is snug.
Pull the front pulley (L) forward and slide the pulley rod (O)
through the hole in the front brace (not included) [J].
Install spring (N) and tension nut (M) onto pulley rod (O). Do not
tighten.
Once the rail is fully assembled, follow the remaining assembly
and installation instructions in the operator’s manual for the GD200
garage door opener.
ATTACHING THE EMERGENCY RELEASE ROPE
See Figure 16.
Lower the garage door completely.
Tie the emergency release rope (E) through the hole in the outer
trolley (K).
NOTE: The rope (E) should be approximately six feet above
the garage floor.
