OPERATION
TO INSTALL BATTERY PACK
See Figure 3.
 Place the battery pack on the radio.
 Make sure the latches on each side of the battery pack
snap into place and the battery pack is secured on the
radio before beginning operation.
TO REMOVE BATTERY PACK
See Figure 3.
 Depress the latches on the side of battery pack.
 Remove the battery pack from the radio.
NOTE: The battery pack should be recharged after
approximately 5 hours of use to reduce the possibility of
damage. Repeated deep discharge of the battery may
decrease storage capacity and battery life.
WARNING:
Battery products are always in operating condition.
Therefore, the switch should always be locked when not
in use or carrying at your side.
TURNING THE RADIO ON/OFF
See Figure 4.
To tur n ON: t u r n t h e ON/ O FF/ v o lum e k n ob
counterclockwise.
To turn OFF: turn the ON/OFF/volume knob clockwise to
the OFF position.
CONTROLLING VOLUME
See Figure 4.
 Turn the volume knob counterclockwise to increase radio
volume.
 Turn the volume knob clockwise to decrease radio
volume.
NOTE: Use the volume level indicator located on the
ON/OFF/volume knob to find the desired volume.
