HANDLE ASSEMBLY

INSTRUCTIONS

For 16 in. Lawn Mower

See Figures 1 - 3.

After raising the lower handle as described on page 8 of the

operator’s manual, you will need to install the upper handle.

WARNING:

To prevent accidental starting, do not make any

adjustments or installations with the start key or battery

pack inserted. Accidental starting of the mower during

assembly could result in serious personal injury.

To install:

Align the hole on the upper handle (A) with the hole in the

lower (B) handle as shown.

NOTICE:

Do not allow the starter cable to become pinched or

trapped when aligning the handles.

Insert threaded end of handle lock (C) through both han-

dles with the threaded end facing inside.

Install the washer and handle knob (D) and tighten to

secure.

Repeat on the opposite side.

Close the handle locks (E) to secure the upper handle in

place.

NOTE: If the upper handle is loose or separated from the

lower handle, tighten the knobs (F) on the handle locks

by turning them clockwise.

ASSEMBLY To lower the handle assembly: WARNING:  Open the upper handle locks. Do not insert start key or battery pack until assembly is complete and you are ready to mow. Failure to comply could result in accidental starting and possible serious personal injury. NOTE: If the handle lock is difficult to open, loosen the knobs on the upper handle locks by turning them counterclockwise.  Lower the upper handle.  Open the lower handle lock.

ASSEMBLY  To lower the blade height, grasp the height adjustment lever and move it toward the front of the mower.  Reinstall start key and battery pack when you are ready to mow. OPERATION TO INSTALL BATTERY PACK WARNING: Do not allow familiarity with products to make you careless. Remember that a careless fraction of a second is sufficient to inflict serious injury. See Figure 8.  Raise the battery cover.  Place the battery pack in the mower.

ASSEMBLAGE  Levez le collecteur d’herbe par sa poignée et mettez-le couvercle d’éjection arrière de façon à ce que les crochets sur le collecteur d’herbe s’appuient sur la boîtier du tondeuse.  Relâchez le couvercle d’éjection arrière.  Réinstaller la clé de démarrage et le bloc-piles dès le moment de la tonte. RÉGLAGE DE LA HAUTEUR DE LA LAME Voir la figure 7. Pour l’expédition, les roues de la tondeuse sont réglées à la position de coupe au ras de sol.

ARMADO que el mango inferior esté asentado en las ranuras de la parte inferior del mango superior. ADVERTENCIA: No intente modificar este producto ni hacer accesorios no recomendados para el mismo. Cualquier alteración o modificación constituye maltrato y puede causar una condición peligrosa, y como consecuencia posibles lesiones serias. ADVERTENCIA: No meta llave del arranque o paquete de baterías sin haber terminado de armarla y usted está listo para cortar.

ARMADO  Suelte la puerta de descarga posterior. Para ajustar la altura de la cuchilla:  Vuelva a instalar la llave del arranque y el paquete de baterías cuando esté listo para podar el pasto.  Retire la llave del arranque de fusible y paquete de baterías. AJUSTE DE LA ALTURA DE LA CUCHILLA Vea la figura 7. Para enviarlas, las ruedas de la podadora se ajustan en una posición de corte bajo. Antes de usar la podadora por primera vez, ajuste la posición de corte a la altura más adecuada para su pasto.
