Installation Instructions

and the photographs and drawings herein are for the purpose of illustrating
installation tools and techniques, not system designs.
The S-5-N and S-5-N Mini clamps are designed to t Taylor Metals’ Easy
Lock™, ASC Building Products’ Skyline Roong®, McElroy Metals’ Meridian,
and New Tech Machinery’s FF100 and similar 1” nail strip proles.
Tools Needed
• Screwgun
• 3/16” Allen Bit Tip (Provided)
• Dial-Calibrated Torque Wrench*
(*For accurate tension values, do NOT use a clicking torque wrench.)
To Install S-5-N and S-5-N Mini:
1) Partially thread the setscrews into the clamp by hand.
2) Position clamp at desired location along the seam.
3) Make sure the nose of the clamp engages the female part of the seam.
4) Use a screwgun and the included bit tip to tighten one setscrew and then
the other, alternating between the two until both setscrews are tightened to
the specied torque. To install the S-5-N Mini, tighten the single setscrew to the
specied torque.
Note: Seams that exceed .56” at the widest part, will require hand crimping
to allow the clamp to t.
When relying upon published load values, setscrew tension should be veried periodically throughout the installation process,
to be positive you are consistently achieving the proper torque.
