Reading in individual user
keys/cards
The master card is used to switch
the ELMinto the programming
mode (red LED lights up). By passing
them in front of the ELM, all the
remaining user keys/cards are read
into the system in sequence and
thus entitled to trigger the switching
output of the ELM. As a conrma-
tion of each user key/card read-in
process, the green LED ashes after
around 1second.
Termination of the read-in
process
The read-in process is terminated
by passing the master card in front
of the ELM again, or automatically
by a timeout function which cuts
in 15seconds after the last user
key/card has been read in. After
completion of the read-in process,
the green LED on the front of the
ELMlights up, so indicating the
operating status.
Cancelling individual users
It is not possible to cancel indi-
vidual users in stand-alone opera-
tion. Reading in the master card
for 15seconds will cancel all the
entered users at the ELM. To conrm
the completed cancellation proce-
dure, the red LED ashes for 3sec-
onds. It is then possible to restart
the read-in process of individual user
keys/cards. The cancellation process
does not affect the master card. If
you wish to return to the default
status, i.e. you also wish to create
a new master card, the BCD rotary
switch which is located under the lid
at the back must be turned to the
“0” position and then back to the
“1” position (live).
