Introduction
The AquaClean lter provides ltered water to protect your
coee machine and to ensure an intensive taste and aroma of
your coee.
Important
Read this important information carefully before you use the
AquaClean lter and save it for future reference.
Warning
- The AquaClean lter is only designed for use with
municipally treated tap water (which is constantly
controlled and safe to drink according to legal regulations)
and with water from private supplies which has been
approved as safe to drink.
If an instruction is received from the authorities that
municipal water must be boiled, the ltered water must also
be boiled. When the instruction to boil water is no longer in
force, the entire coee machine must be cleaned and a new
cartridge inserted.
- Clean the water tank regularly.
- For certain groups of people (e.g. people with weakened
immune systems and babies) it is generally recommended
to boil tap water. This also applies to ltered water.
- For hygienic reasons, the material of the AquaClean lter is
subjected to a special treatment with silver. A small quantity
of silver, which is harmless to health, may end up in the
ltered water. This is in compliance with the World Health
Organisation (WHO) recommendations for drinking water.
- If you suer from kidney disease, are a dialysis patient
and/or follow a sodium-restricted diet, please note that
during the ltration process, the sodium content may be
increased slightly. We advise you to consult your doctor rst
before using the ltered water.
- When you descale the coee machine, always remove the
AquaClean lter from the water tank. Then thoroughly clean
the whole water tank and replace the AquaClean lter.
- Saeco does not accept any responsibility or liability if
the above recommendations for using and replacing the
AquaClean lter are not followed.
Caution
- Store replacement AquaClean lter in a cool and dry place
in their original, sealed packaging.
- As water is a foodstu, the water in the water tank must be
used up within 1 to 2 days.
- If you have not used your coee machine for a prolonged
period (e.g. a holiday, a period over 3 months from
installation, or when a new lter is required), perform the
procedure described in chapter ‚Preparing for use‘.
Preparing for use
1 Remove the AquaClean lter from its packaging. Shake the
lter for about 5 seconds (Fig. 1).
2 Immerse the lter upside down in a jug with cold water and
wait until no more air bubbles come out. (Fig. 2)
3 Remove the water tank from the machine and insert the
lter vertically onto the lter connection (Fig. 3). Press it
down until it cannot move further.
4 Fill the water tank with fresh clean water and place it back
into the machine (Fig. 4).
5 Use the provided sticker to write down the date of the lter
activation. Place the sticker on the water tank (Fig. 5).
6 If the machine has a display make sure you activate the
lter in the machine menu. Follow the user instructions
provided with the machine (Fig. 6).
Note: The claim „no descaling for 5000 cups*“ is valid only
for machines having the AquaClean sticker on the water
tank.* based on 0,1lt cups and 8 lters replacement as
indicated by the machine.
7 To rinse the lter, let half a litre of water ow out from
the dispensing spout or steam tube of espresso machine.
Discard this water. (Fig. 7)
Note: If you have not used your coee machine for a short period
(e.g. 2 weeks), perform steps 1 to 4 with the installed AquaClean
lter. Then dispense a cup of hot water (0.250 l).
The lter and machine are now ready for use.
Replacement
Replace the AquaClean lter at least every 3 months or at
machine request.

Úvod
Filtr AquaClean zajišťuje ltrovanou vodu, a tak chrání váš
kávovar a zaručuje intenzivní chuť a aroma připravené kávy.
Důležité
Před použitím ltru AquaClean si pečlivě přečtěte tyto důležité
informace a uschovejte je pro budoucí použití.
Varování
- Filtr AquaClean je určen k použití pouze s kohoutkovou
vodou upravenou pro obecní využití (která se stále
kontroluje a jejíž pití je podle právních předpisů bezpečné)
nebo s vodou ze soukromých zdrojů, jejíž pití bylo
schváleno jako bezpečné. Pokud příslušné orgány vydají
pokyn, že je nutné obecní vodu převařovat, je nutné
převařovat i ltrovanou vodu. Pokud již pokyn převařovat
vodu není v platnosti, je nutné celý kávovar vyčistit a vložit
novou patronu.
- Pravidelně čistěte nádržku na vodu.
- U určitých skupin obyvatelstva (např. osob s oslabeným
imunitním systémem a u malých dětí) se obecně
doporučuje kohoutkovou vodu převařovat. To se týká také
ltrované vody.
- Z hygienických důvodů se pro materiál ltru AquaClean
využívá speciální ošetření stříbrem. Ve ltrované vodě se
může nacházet malé množství stříbra, které je neškodné
lidskému zdraví. Toto ošetření je v souladu s doporučeními
Světové zdravotnické organizace (WHO) pro pitnou vodu.
- Pokud trpíte onemocněním ledvin, docházíte jako pacient
na dialýzu, případně držíte dietu s omezením sodíku, mějte
na paměti, že během procesu ltrace se může obsah
sodíku mírně zvýšit. Než začnete ltrovanou vodu používat,
doporučujeme poradit se s lékařem.
- Když z kávovaru odstraňujete vodní kámen, ltr AquaClean
z nádržky na vodu vždy vyjměte. Poté celou nádržku na
vodu důkladně vyčistěte a ltr AquaClean vraťte na místo.
- Společnost Saeco nepřijímá žádnou odpovědnost ani
závazek, pokud nedodržíte výše uvedená doporučení
týkající se používání a výměny ltru AquaClean.
Upozornění
- Náhradní ltry AquaClean skladujte na chladném a suchém
místě v původním, uzavřeném obalu.
- Protože voda je potravina, musí se voda v nádržce na vodu
spotřebovat do 1 až 2 dnů.
- Pokud jste kávovar delší dobu nepoužívali (např. během
dovolené nebo po dobu 3 měsíců od uvedení do provozu),
případně pokud je požadován nový ltr, proveďte postup
popsaný níže v kapitole „Příprava k použití“.
