Place Car Seat Forward-
Facing in Back Seat
Make the car seat flush against the
vehicle seat. The vehicle seat back
must be upright.
Loosely Attach Tether Hook to
Vehicle’s Tether Anchor
Check your vehicle owner’s manual for
specific tether (top anchorage) anchor
locations.

Tighten Belt
Place your hand in the car seat.
Firmly push the car seat down and
back towards the vehicle seat back
while pulling the free end of the belt as
shown.

Tighten Tether
Push fi rmly on the back of the car seat
and pull the free end of the tether strap
to remove all of the slack.
If your vehicle seat’s headrest
interferes with a fl ush car seat fi t,
check your vehicle owner’s manual to
see if the headrest can be removed,
adjusted, or if there are other possible
seating locations to use the car seat.
Attach Lower Anchor
Hooks to Vehicle’s
Lower Anchors in Seat Bight
Review your vehicle owner’s manual
for LATCH: lower anchor locations and
lower anchor belt use.
Fasten one hook to one vehicle lower
anchor bar.
Then repeat for the second hook on
the other side of the car seat.

It may be easier to tighten the belt by
pulling back the seat pad and pulling
the free end of the belt parallel with the
belt path as shown.
