Description
Maximum permissible rate of increase of
the initial cutting depth during roughing
Program type M
Conditions Immediate
TC14
Unit %
Setting range 0 to 100
This parameter is valid during initial cutting in a bar roughing cycle. If the
remainder obtained by dividing the thickness of cutting during the roughing
cycle by the corresponding cutting depth stays within the range specified
by this parameter, that value will be added to the initial cutting depth to
reduce the cutting repeat times.
Example 1: TC14 = 0 Example 2: TC14 = 10%

0.1
Cutting to a depth of 10.1
is executed in 3 rounds of
cutting (5, 5, and 0.1).
Cutting at a depth setting of 5 results in
a final cutting depth of 0.1. Since 10%
of the depth setting of 5 is 0.5 and this
value is larger than the final cutting
depth, this final cutting depth is added
to the initial cutting depth.

Note:
Up to 100% can be set. When a value larger than 100% is set, it is
regarded as 0.
