It contains all the information needed by the network as well as other information unique to you and that you can modify: Secret codes (PIN(s): Personal Identification Numbers), these codes allow you to restrict access to your SIM card. Avoid putting your fingers on this area when the telephone is switched ON. If your fingers obstruct the antenna, the telephone may have to operate with a higher power level than usual; decreasing its efficiency quickly. It could also affect the quality of your communications.
