+ Set the required brightness value with keys3 or 4 and press OK to validate.
+ Choose the type of paper, NORMAL, THICK with keys 3 or 4 and press OK to validate.
+ Choose the paper tray, AUTOMATIC, UPPER or LOWER with keys 3 or 4 and press OK to
validate.

You may follow this whole procedure or exit the settings mode as soon as they have been
achieved by pressing key for the black and white copies or key
for the colour copies.

+ Position the document (refer to paragraph Positioning the document, page 5/1).
+ Press key twice.
You obtain a black and white copy of your original.

+ Position the document (refer to paragraph Positioning the document, page 5/1).
+ Press key .
+ Enter the desired number of copies and press OK to validate.
+ Choose the FAST, QUALITY or PHOTO resolution with keys 3 or 4, then press OK to
validate.
+ Set the desired zoom value with keys 3 or 4 and the digital keypad, and then press OK
to validate.
+ Select the paper type "Normal-Thick" with keys 3 or 4.
+ Press key .
Caution - The modification of these settings has no effect on the default settings of the
MENU 87. These settings are only valid for the current copy.

When the copy quality is no longer staisfactory, you can perform a calibration. To do so, refer to
paragraph Scanner calibration, page 6/11
Moreover, a high number of controls let you improve the copy quality.
