SAKRETE Concrete Expansion joint replaces outdated asphalt and fi ber
expansion joints. Use wherever expansion joints are applicable, Slabs, drives,
sidewalks, isolation joints, etc. SAKRETE Concrete Expansion Joint helps
avoid slab cracking, keeps concrete from expanding and pushing against
existing walls and slabs. It is fl exible and will shape to any surface, even
around square corners. Closed cell construction allows no water absorption.
Resistant to common oils and chemical due to high quality non-absorbent
polyethylene. EXCEEDS ASTM D-4819/D-3575.

PLACEMENT:
1. Unroll and cut to length needed. One roll is 50’ (15.24 m) long.
2. Attach to adjacent material (i.e. existing concrete, block, brick, etc.) before
pouring concrete. Attachment can be made with construction adhesive,
nails or staples. Make certain that the top of the expansion joint is at the
top of the planned concrete pour.
3. Expansion joint material comes with a built-in “tear-off” strip. Put “tear-off”
strip up if caulking is desired after concrete hardens. Put “tear off” strip
down if no caulking is planned.
4. Pour concrete and fi nish. After concrete hardens, if “tear off” strip was
placed up, remove strip and seal area with suitable caulking.

ENVIRONMENTAL ADVISORY:
Uncured or crushed cured cement is an envi-
ronmental hazard, which may adversely affect
fi sh and wildlife. Dispose of construction debris
containing cement, including empty bags, at a
permitted municipal disposal fi rm. Do not use
crushed concrete as a fi ll near an aquatic habitat.
LIMITED PRODUCT WARRANTY The manufacturer warrants that this
product shall be of merchantable quality when used or applied in
accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. This product is not
warranted as suitable for any purpose other than the general purpose for
which it is intended. This warranty runs for one (1) year from the date the
product is purchased. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY
OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ON THIS PRODUCT IS LIMITED
TO THE DURATION OF THIS WARRANTY. Liability under this warranty is
limited to replacement of defective product or, at the manufacturer’s
option, refund of the purchase price. CONSEQUENTIAL AND INCIDENTAL
DAMAGES ARE NOT RECOVERABLE UNDER THIS WARRANTY.
