PREPARATION

Prepare a mortar bed to secure the rst layer

of block. Be sure the mortar bed and rst

course of blocks are level.

Allow this bedding material to set.

Next, begin stacking each course of block for the wall space

you require.

Remember to stack the blocks so that the vertical joints stager.

Through out this block stacking phase and at the completion, check

that the wall has remained level.

Before applying the Surface Bonding Cement, dampen the surface of the block.

This will aid in the adhesion of the material to the block and will also eliminate

the otherwise dry block from pulling the moisture out of your Surface Bonding

Cement mix.

It may be necessary to re-dampen the blocks before your project is nished.

The blocks should be surface saturated dry (SSD) when applying the material.
