TORQUE

ITEM OPERATION

Retrieve the take-off alternator harness. Set the harness on the work

bench (stretched out). The 3 attachment clips taped to the harness (2

for the fuel rail, 1 for the bulkhead) will need to be moved towards the

battery ring terminal 9.5".

NOTICE: Repeat OPERATION 20 to OPERATION 40 for each of the

3 clips on the alternator harness.

To move the clips, first find the center of each clip. Measure back

towards the battery ring terminal 9.5". Mark that spot on the harness

with a marker. Repeat for all three clips.

Start with the clip closest to the battery ring terminal. Look at the

orientation of the clip (the clip will be orientated the same when it is re-

attached to the harness). Carefully cut the clip free from the alternator

harness, and remove any excess electric tape.

Line up the clip with the marker marking from OPERATION 20

. Make

sure the orientation of the clip is the same as it was before being

removed. Re-attach the clip with electric tape.
