DO NOTllpasttheMAXlevelindicatedonthekettle.Overllingmay
cause water to spill out when boiling.
2. Place Kettle on Power Base making sure it is correctly engaged on
the Power Base.
3. Plug Power Base cord into a 120V AC wall outlet.
NOTE:NeverplugPowerBasewithemptyKettleintotheelectrical
outlet.
4. PresstheOn/OffSwitchtothe‘On’position(I).Thebluelights
inside the Kettle will illuminate to indicate that the Kettle is in the boil
cycle.Oncethewaterhasboiled,theOn/OffSwitchwillautomatically
switchtothe‘Off’positionandtheLightswillgoout.
NOTE:Directkettlespoutawayfromcabinets,walls,etc.toprevent
possible steam damage.
5. If you want to use the Kettle again, allow the thermal safety switch
tocooldownfor15–20secondsthenpresstheOn/OffSwitchto
the‘On’position(I).IftheOn/OffSwitchdoesnotremaininthe‘On’
position, the water is hot enough to use without reheating.
6. Unplug cord from wall outlet before lifting Kettle from Power Base.
Grip the Kettle by the Handle only, as the surface and lid will be hot.
7. Return the Kettle to the Power Base or place on a heat resistant
surface after use.
8. If the Kettle is accidently switched on when empty, the thermostat
will automatically shut it off to prevent the Kettle from overheating.
If this situation occurs, unplug the Power Base and let the Kettle cool
beforerelling.
9. It is recommended that the power cord be disconnected from the
walloutletwhennotinuse.DONOTattempttoconnectany
other appliance to the Power Base or tamper with the connector in
any way.
CARE AND CLEANING
1. All servicing, other than cleaning, should be performed by an
authorized service representative. See Warranty section.
2. Unplug the Base from the wall outlet. Empty the Kettle and allow it to
cool before cleaning.
Exterior
- Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the exterior.
- DO NOTuseabrasivecleaners.Dryexteriorthoroughlybeforeuse.
- DO NOT immerse kettle or power base in water or other liquid.
