Controls and Functions MONO INPUT CHANNEL SECTION 1 - SIGNAL LED The TXM16 and TXM20’s MIC/LINE pre-amp also includes a SIGNAL LED which, when illuminated, indicates that the signal is present at the input. 2 - GAIN Control Knob The TXM16 and TXM20’s pre-amp stage has a variable GAIN control with a range of -6 to -50dB on the MIC input and +14 to -30dB on the LINE input.
ENGLISH Controls and Functions MONO INPUT CHANNEL SECTION - continued 6 – AUX 2 - Pre Fader Send TXM16 / PRE/POST TXM20 knob is in the “12:00” position. Rotating the knob towards the right will boost the channel's low frequency response at 80 Hertz by 15dB, and rotating it towards the left will cut the frequency by 15dB. Each of the TXM16 and TXM20’s Mono Input channels include an AUX 2 send, which controls the amount of that channel’s signal that is sent to the AUX 2 Output.
Controls and Functions MONO INPUT CHANNEL SECTION - continued STEREO INPUT CHANNEL SECTION 10 - PAN Control The TXM16 and TXM20’s PAN control is used to place or position the mono signal into the stereo main Left and Right MIX bus. You can create a stereo image by panning some input signals to the left and others to the right. The TXM16 and TXM20’s PAN control is a Power-Pan circuit, which includes a 3dB dip in the center position.

The TXM16 and TXM20 feature stereo input channels for connected stereo line level devices like keyboards and drum machines, as well as the outputs from effects processors and digital guitar modelers. The TXM 16 has two sets of stereo inputs which make up channels 9/10 and 11/12, while the TXM20 has four sets of stereo inputs which make up channels 9/10, 11/12, 13/14 and 15/16.
Controls and Functions 24 BIT DIGITAL EFFECT SECTION STEREO INPUT CHANNEL SECTION - continued The TXM16 and TXM20 provides high quality, 24 Bit digital effects, and the level of effects can be set independently on each channel. The stereo channel’s EFX (Effects) knob controls the amount of signal that is sent to the EFX bus. The signal of the EFX bus is routed to the second DSP EFX section for on-board signal processing.
ENGLISH Controls and Functions 34 - EFX SEND - Master Effect Send 24BIT DIGITAL EFFECT SECTION The master EFX SEND control is used to send the effect mix bus to an external effect device connected to the EFX OUT SEND jack. The TXM16 and TXM20 feature built-in, 24 Bit Digital Multi-effects Processor(s) with 100 dazzling, studio quality effects like Delay, Chorus, Flanging and lush Reverbs including Halls, Plates and Rooms.
Controls and Functions Stereo Line Input 40 - LEVEL – control knob 41 - PFL switch The Stereo Line Input channel’s PFL, or Pre Fader Listen switch allows you to listen, or “solo” a channel or group of channels in the headphones. When the stereo input channel’s PFL switch is pressed down, that channel’s signal is assigned to the solo bus and can be heard in any optional headphones plugged in to the PHONES connector located in the front panel jack field.
ENGLISH Controls and Functions 48 - PFL switch PHONES and CD/TAPE IN Section The CD/TAPE input channel’s PFL, or Pre Fader Listen switch allows you to listen, or “solo” the CD/TAPE input in the headphones. When the CD/TAPE input channel’s PFL switch is pressed down, that channel’s signal is assigned to the solo bus and can be heard in any optional headphones plugged in to the PHONES connector located in the front panel jack field.
Controls and Functions 50 - FREQUENCY – control knob 54 - PEAK LEDs The left and right PEAK LED’s illuminate when the signal from the MAIN mix is beginning to reach a level where distortion occurs. If the PEAK lights stay on, your mix is too hot and you need to lower the MAIN mix volume. It is okay for the PEAK light to occasionally light, however they should go off quickly and not stay on.
ENGLISH Controls and Functions 60 - Power Amp Mode switch POWER AMP SECTION The TXM16 and TXM20 have two internal power amplifiers, which can run in stereo or as two separate mono amplifiers. Depending on the position of the MODE switch, the amplifiers received their input signals from the MAIN, AUX 1 or AUX 2 monitor bus. The MODE switch is used to select one of four different operating modes, MAIN L-MAIN R, MONO-AUX 1, AUX 1 - AUX 2 and MONOBRIDGE.
Controls and Functions 62 - PROTECT LEDs 65 – MAIN STEREO EQUALIZER The TXM16 and TXM20 provide a nine-band MAIN STEREO EQUALIZER allowing you to contour the frequency response of the MAIN stereo mix bus signal. Providing a maximum of 12dB of cut/boost for each frequency band, the TXM mixer's Graphic EQ is also extremely useful tool for cutting the frequencies that cause annoying feedback. The frequency response is flat when the sliders are in the center position.
ENGLISH TXM16 and TXM20 Input and Output Connections Stereo Input Channels - 1/4-inch and RCA CHANNEL 1 – 8 (12) MONO MIC/LINE INPUTS Each of the TXM mixers has two sets of full-featured stereo input channels, Channels 9/10 and 11/12 on the TXM16 and Channels 13/14 and 15/16 on the TXM20. Use these for connecting stereo signals like those from CD or MP3 players, electronic keyboards, drum machines and other line level signals. These inputs have both 1/4-inch and RCA connectors for connecting your gear.

TRS phone jack connector pin-out - Sleeve: Ground, Tip: Hot (+), Ring: Cold (-) CD/TAPE IN and RECORD OUT You can interface a cassette recorder, computer sound card or other recorders using the TXM16 and TXM20’s CD/ TAPE and RECORD OUT. ( K- AMP IN (Left and Right) - 1/4-inch jacks The Left and Right AMP IN 1/4-inch phone jacks are used to make a direct connection to the TXM’s internal power amplifiers.

ENGLISH Operating the TXM16 and TXM20 BASIC OPERATION The following section explains the basic operation of the TXM16 and TXM20. CONNECTING MICROPHONES AND INSTRUMENTS 1. Before connecting mics or instruments, make sure that the power of all your system's components, including the TXM mixer, is turned off. Also, make sure that the volume and gain controls of each channel of the TXM16 or TXM20 and the MAIN, MONO, AUX1 and AUX2 level faders are turned all the way down. 2.
Operating the TXM16 and TXM20 The TXM mixers feature a built-in, high quality, 24-bit Multi Effect Processor, (two on the TXM20), offering studio grade effects. The EFX section features clean Delay, lush Reverbs and multi-effects like Chorus + Delay or Chorus + Reverb. You can add a broad range of studio quality effects by simply dialing through the 100 presets.

Operating the TXM16 and TXM20 The TXM16 and TXM20’s MONO OUT can be used to drive a subwoofer system by engaging the SUBWOOFER ON/OFF switch located in the MONO output strip. When the SUBWOOFER ON/OFF switch is pressed in, the variable Low Pass, (high-cut), filter is active. Now you can use the FREQUENCY control knob to set the high frequency limit of the MONO/SUBWOOFER OUT. The TXM mixer’s FREQUENCY control has a range from 20Hz to 200Hz allowing you to tune the output for a variety of subwoofers.
This system shows the TXM16 power amp operating in MAIN/MAIN mode, with one speaker connected to POWER AMP 1 and one speaker connected to POWER AMP 2. The AUX OUT is connected to an external power amp, which is driving 2 monitor speakers. For inputs, four microphones are connected to channel 1 and 2’s low-impedance inputs, and the output of the Bass Direct Box is also connected to the Low-Impedance input on channel 5.

Réglages et fonctions 6 – AUX 2 - Départ pré-Fader (TXM16)/ Départ pré ou post-Fader (TXM20) SECTION DES VOIES D'ENTRÉE MONO - suite LF (BASSES FRÉQ.) Filtre Baxendall, +/- 15 dB à 80 Hz La réponse dans les basses fréquences de la voie est plate lorsque ce bouton est réglé sur la position “12:00”. Tournez ce bouton vers la droite ou la gauche pour accentuer ou atténuer (de +/- 15 dB) les basses fréquences à 80 Hz.
Réglages et fonctions SECTION DES VOIES D'ENTRÉE MONO - suite SECTION DES VOIES D'ENTRÉE STÉRÉO REMARQUE : Le signal des départs EFX1 et EFX2 est prélevé après le Fader de la voie (14), et ce dernier affecte donc leur niveau afin qu'il demeure proportionnel au niveau de la voie. Ainsi, la portion du signal acheminée au bus EFFECTS est affectée non seulement par le bouton EFX, mais aussi par le Fader de la voie.
Réglages et fonctions 18 – AUX 1- Départ pré-Fader SECTION DES VOIES D'ENTRÉE STÉRÉO Chacune des voies d'entrée stéréo des TXM16 et TXM20 comporte un réglage AUX 1 servant à déterminer le niveau du signal acheminé à la sortie AUX 1. Le signal alimentant le départ AUX 1 est prélevé avant (PRÉ) le Fader de la voie afin que ce dernier n'affecte pas le niveau du départ. Le bus AUX 1 sert habituellement à produire un mixage pour les retours de scène.
Réglages et fonctions SECTION DES VOIES D'ENTRÉE STÉRÉO - suite SECTION DES EFFETS NUMÉRIQUES 24 BITS 22 – AUX 4/EFX 2 Départ d'effets (TXM20) Les TXM16 et TXM20 disposent d'effets numériques 24 bits de haute qualité, dont le niveau peut être réglé indépendamment sur chaque voie. Le bouton EFX de la voie détermine la portion du signal qui est acheminée au bus EFX. Le signal du bus EFX est ensuite traité par le processeur DSP intégré.
Réglages et fonctions 34 - EFX SEND - Départ d'effet général SECTION DES EFFETS NUMÉRIQUES 24 BITS Le bouton EFX SEND permet d'acheminer le signal de l'effet à un processeur d'effets externe relié au Jack EFX OUT SEND. Les TXM16 et TXM20 disposent de processeurs multieffets à DSP (24 bits) offrant 100 effets de qualité studio, dont des délais, des Chorus, des Flangers et des réverbérations (Hall, Plates, Room, etc.).
Réglages et fonctions 40 - Bouton LEVEL Entrée ligne stéréo Ce bouton détermine le niveau de la voie d'entrée mono/ stéréo. 41 - Touche PFL Section du départ auxiliaire général 42 - Touche AFL (écoute post-Fader) La touche AFL du départ Aux 1 général permet de placer une ou plusieurs voies en solo dans le casque.
Réglages et fonctions 48 - Touche PFL Section de l'embase casque PHONES et de l'entrée CD/TAPE IN Cette touche permet de placer le signal connecté à l'entrée CD/TAPE en solo dans le casque. Lorsque la touche PFL est en position basse, le signal de l'entrée CD/TAPE est donc assigné au bus Solo et isolé dans le casque (optionnel) connecté à l'embase PHONES en face avant. Comme le signal est pré-Fader, son niveau n'est pas affecté lorsque vous déplacez le Fader de la voie.
Réglages et fonctions 50 - Bouton FREQUENCY 54 - Leds PEAK Les mélangeurs TXM sont équipés d'un filtre passe-bas intégré facilitant la connexion d'un Subwoofer. Déterminez la fréquence de coupure (entre 20 Hz et 200 Hz) à l'aide du réglage FREQUENCY, qui est activé lorsque la touche SUBWOOFER ON/OFF est réglée sur ON. Les Leds PEAK gauche et droite s'allument lorsque le niveau du bus de mixage principal risque de produire de la distorsion.
Réglages et fonctions 60 - Sélecteur Power Amp Mode FRANÇAIS SECTION D'AMPLIFICATION Les TXM16 et TXM20 disposent de deux amplificateurs de puissance intégrés, pouvant être configurés en mono ou en stéréo. Les entrées des amplificateurs peuvent recevoir les signaux des bus MAIN, AUX 1 ou AUX 2, selon la position du sélecteur MODE. TXM16 et TXM20 - Connecteurs d'entrée et de sortie R- AMP 1 – Sorties amplifiées FACE ARRIÈRE La sortie AMP 1 est pourvue d'un Jack 6,35 mm et d'un connecteur Speakon. Ces sorties amplifiées permettent de relier l'enceinte de façade gauche lorsque vous utilisez les TXM16 et TXM20 en mode stéréo.
TXM16 et TXM20 - Connecteurs d'entrée et de sortie CONNEXION DES ENCEINTES Le sélecteur MODE en face avant permet de configurer la section d'amplification des TXM16 et TXM20 afin de l'utiliser de plusieurs façons. MONO - continua Bus Ausiliari (da 5 a 9) I mixer della serie TXM dispongono di diversi bus, ovvero percorsi di segnale ausiliari, che possono essere usati per creare mix indipendenti da inviare a processori effetti interni o esterni, oppute ad un sistema di monitor esterni. Tali bus partono dall'invio del segnale da ognuno dei singoli canali, dove la regolazione viene effettuata tramite i controlli delle mandate ausiliarie.

Dispongono entrambi di due coppie di Ingressi Stereo che nel TXM16 formano i canali 9/10 e 11/12, mentre nel TXM20 formano i canali 13/14 e 15/16.

STEREO - continua SEZIONE EFFETTI DIGITALI A 24 BIT 21 - AUX 3/EFX1 - Mandata Post Fader TXM16 e TXM20 dispongono di effetti digitali a 24 Bit di qualità elevata e il livello degli effetti può essere regolato indipendentemente per ognuno dei canali. I controlli EFX (Effetti) dei canali stereo regolano la quantità di segnale inviata al bus EFX. Il segnale del bus EFX 1 viene inviato alla sezione DSP EFX per il trattamento di segnale di bordo.
Controlli e Funzioni SEZIONE EFFETTI DIGITALI A 24 BIT Il TXM16 ed il TXM20 dispongono di Trattamento Multief fetto Digitale a 24 Bit con 100 sorprendenti effetti di qualità da studio come Delay, Chorus, Flanging e splendidi Reverberi che comprendono Saloni, Piastre e Stanze. In più, sono disponibili preset multieffetti che prevedono due effetti combinati insieme. Per esempio, per citarne alcuni, Delay e Reverbero o Reverbero e Chorus.

Quando questo interruttore PFL è premuto, il segnale dal nastro o dal CD viene assegnato al bus di solo e lo si può ascoltare in una qualsiasi cuffia opzionale collegata alla presa PHONES, tra le prese del pannello frontale.
Controlli e Funzioni 50 - Controllo di FREQUENZA I mixer TXM dispongono a bordo di un Filtro Passa-basso che semplifica il collegamento di un subwoofer. Usate il controllo di FREQUENZA per regolare il punto di transizione del Filtro Passa-basso nell'intervallo da 20 a 200 Hz. Il controllo di FREQUENZA è attivo quando l'interruttore SUB WOOFER ON/OFF è in posizione attiva (ON). 51 - Interruttore SUBWOOFER ON/OFF Attiva il Filtro Passa-basso e trasforma l'Uscita MONO in una Uscita per Subwoofer.
Controlli e Funzioni SEZIONE DEL FINALE DI POTENZA La sezione del finale di potenza del TXM16 e del TXM20 comprende il commutatore di MODO del Finale, gli interruttori del limitatore di PICCO e dell'Alimentazione Fantasma ed anche gli indicatori LED del Circuito di Protezione e dell'Alimentazione Principale.
Controlli e Funzioni 61 – LED DI ALIMENTAZIONE (POWER) Il LED di ALIMENTAZIONE si accende quando l'unità è collegata ad una presa di alimentazione di tensione corretta e l'interruttore di accensione è in posizione ON. 62 - LED di PROTEZIONE I mixer TXM dispongono di un circuito di protezione che aiuta a prevenire danni ai finali di potenza, nel caso venga loro presentato un segnale in distorsione da clipping di durata pericolosamente lunga.

La sezione EFX dispone di Delay puliti, Reverberi splendidi e multieffetti come Chorus + Delay o Chorus + Reverbero. Potete aggiungere un ampio insieme di effetti di qualità da studio semplicemente scegliendo tra i 100 preset.
L'Uso del TXM16 e del TXM20 COME INVIARE UN MIX INDIPENDENTE ALLE CASSE MONITOR - continua. 5.
