5.5.Fastenboththighsupportstraps
Riskofseriousinjurytothepatientduetoexcessivetightening!
Excessivetighteningmaycausediscomfort,skinpressure/friction,bruising,pain,orunusualswellingcausedby
theexoskeletonwhichhasthepotentialtoleadtoskinbreakdownorabrasions.
‐ Whenputtingonthedevice,thethighsupportstrapsshouldbefittedwiththekneesslightlybenttoavoid
excessivetighteningorpressing.
‐ Thetherapistshouldcheckfordiscomfortandchecktheskinpressureofthepatient.
Riskoffallingduetobrokenbuckle!
Ifyouinsertthebucklewhilepullingsideways,thebucklemaybebroken.Thismayresultinthepatienthaving
difficultybalancing,andpotentiallyfalling.
‐ When inserting the buckle into the hook, insert it while tilting it by 90 degrees and pull the strap out
perpendiculartothesurfaceoftheleg.
Riskofinjuryduetothestrapsunfastenedduringwalking!
Ifthestrapsarenotsecurelyfastenedtothebuckles,thestrapsmaybecomeunfastenedduringwalking.This
mayresultinthepatienthavingdifficultybalancing.
‐ Besuretoconnectthestrapswiththebucklessecurelyandtomakesure thatthebuckles are securely
connectedwiththethighsupportframe.
