Section 6: Messaging
This section describes how to send and receive different types of
messages. It also includes the features and functionality
associated with messaging.
Types of Messages
Your phone provides the following message types:
Multimedia (Picture, Video, and Audio) Messages
Email and Gmail Messages
Google Talk
Options while composing a message
1. While composing a message, press to reveal
additional messaging options.
Send:
allows you to send the message.
Save as draft:
allows you to save the message as a draft.
Add/Remove Cc/Bcc
: allows you to copy or blind copy other
numbers. You may manually enter a number or choose from
Recent, Contacts, or Group. You may also delete existing Cc/Bcc
numbers.
Attach
: allows you to attach the following:
Pictures
: allows you to tap an existing image from your Pictures list to
add it to your message.
•Discard
: allows you to delete the message without saving it to your
Drafts folder.
Using Email
Email enables you to review and create email using AIM
®
, AOL
®
,
Yahoo!
®
Mail, Comcast, Compuserve, Earthlink, Gmail, HotPOP,
Juno, Mac, NetZero, SBC Yahoo!, Verizon and several other email
services. You can also receive text message alerts when you
receive an important email.
Signing into Your Email
1. From the Home screen, tap
Email
.
Your accounts screen displays with an Email setup screen
displayed.
2. Enter you email address in the
Email
address
field.
3. Enter your password in the
Password
field, press
Next
then
press
OK
.
4. Tap
Next
at the
Your accounts
screen.
5. Tap
Exchange email
or
Other email
.
6. Tap
Next
