Changing the text input mode

Example: Writing a text message

1. In the text entry screen, press the

Mode

soft

key.

2. Scroll to the mode you want by pressing the

Navigation keys.

Note

: If you want to exit the Mode list without

changing to a new mode, press the

C

key.

You can change between

T9 word

and

ABC

modes to enter English words and choose

Pinyin

or

Stroke

to enter Chinese characters.

To include symbols or numbers,

Symbol

and

123

modes are also available.

3. Press the

Select

soft key to select the

highlighted mode.

You will find the selected text input mode

indicator on the display.

Note

: Depending on your particular UIM card, the

maximum number of characters you can

enter may differ.
