Your Smartphone
The following illustrations show the main elements of your
phone.
Front View
1. Infrared port : Uses infrared technology
to transmit data to and receive data from
other Palm Computing connected devices.
See “Beaming information” on page xx for
more information.
2. Phone LCD : Turns on when the phone’s
power is on. Displays signal strength
indicator.
3. Lamp : Flashes to indicate an incoming
call or message. Also lights up for a few
seconds when you reset the phone.
4. Power button : Turns the main screen on
or off and controls the backlight feature. If
the screen is turned off, pressing the
power button turns the screen on and
returns you to the last screen you viewed.
If the Smartphone screen is turned on,
pressing the power button turns the
screen off. Holding the power button
down for about two seconds turns the
backlight on or off.
