Get started Install the battery. First steps to operating your phone Plug the travel adapter into the phone. Tips for using AB mode • Using T9 mode T9 is a predictive text input mode that allows you to key in any character using single keystrokes. Entering a word in T9 mode 1. This feature depends on the nature of your CUG subscription.

Security (Menu 9.8) If you enter an incorrect PIN/PIN2 three times in succession, the SIM card is blocked. To unblock it you need to enter your PUK/PUK2 (Personal Unblocking Key). The codes are supplied by your service provider. The 4- to 8-digit PIN (Personal Identification Number) protects your SIM card against unauthorised use. When this feature is enabled, the phone requires your PIN each time it is switched on. Change PIN code (Menu 9.8.2) Use this menu to change your PIN.

Solve problems Help and personal needs To save the time and expense of an unnecessary service call, perform the simple checks in this section before contacting a service professional. When you switch on your phone, the following messages may appear: “Insert SIM” • Be sure that the SIM card is correctly installed. “Enter password” • The automatic locking function has been enabled. When it's turned on, it receives and transmits radio frequency (RF) signals. When you use your phone, the system handling your call controls the power level. This power can range from 0.006 watts to 0.2 watts in digital mode.
