If you select …., press <OK>, The name you have entered in the user address

field will be used as the greeting. The display

returns to the Display menu screen.

If you want to create a new greeting, select

Custom and then

press <Done>.

5. If you have selected Custom, press <Back> for at least two

seconds to erase the existing greeting.

Type in the new greeting and then press <Done> to save. For

Selecting the Backlight Time Length

The backlight setting lets you select how long the display screen

and keypad are backlit after any key press is made or the flip

cover is opened.

1. From Standby mode, press <Menu> for the Main menu.

2. Select Settings.

3. Select 1.Display and 5. Backlight.

4. Select from the following options: Main Display, Keypad or Pwr

5. Select from the following options: Flip open, 30 seconds, 15 seconds,

8 seconds.

Note: Long backlight settings affect the battery’s talk and standby times.

Sound Settings

Adjusting the Ringer Volume

1. From Standby mode, press <Menu> for the Main menu.

2. Select Settings.

3. Select 2. Sounds.

4. Select 1. Ringer Volume. The following options display: Calls,

Messages or Alarms.

Select Calls for voice call ringer, Messages for message

alert or Alarms for alarm alert.

6. Scroll to the desired option using the navigation key and

press <OK>.

Tip: You can use the volume keys located on the side of the phone to

adjust the ringer volume in Standby mode with the flip open or the voice

volume during a call.

Selecting Ringer Types

Ringer types help you identify incoming calls, messages, data/

faxes and schedule events.

To select a ringer type for voice calls:

1. From Standby mode, press <Menu> for the Main menu.

2. Select Settings.

3. Select 2:Sounds.

4. Select 2:Ringer Type and then 1:Voice Calls.

5. Select either With Caller ID or No Caller ID, and press <OK>.

6. Select the ringer category by pressing the navigation key up
