Phone
The phone menu allows you to configure phone settings such as
your voicemail number, international assistance, and SIM
security. Your cellular provider and network may offer addtional
features.
1. From the Home screen, touch ➔
Settings .
Under
applications
settings, touch
phone
. The phone settings
screen displays.
2. The
My phone number
field displays the phone number
associated with the SIM card installed in your phone.
3. Touch and slide the Use default voicemail number slider
to the right to use the #86 (default) to retreive voicemails.
To set a custom number, Touch and slide the Use default
voicemail number slider to the left, then touch the
new
voicemail number
field
. Use the on-screen keypad to enter
a new voicemail number, and touch anywhere outside the
field to save the custom number.
Important!
This Voicemail number is configured to dial your
carrier’s voicemail box. Please check with your carrier
before changing the number.
4. Touch and slide the
Text reply
slider to the right to reply to
a call with a text message when you can’t talk. Touch edit
replies to enter up to four text replies. Touch to save.
5. Touch and slide the
International assist
slider to the right to
turn this feature On.
Note:
Activating this feature automatically corrects some common
mistakes while dialing internationally or dialing while
abroad.
6. Touch and slide the
SIM security
slider to the right to
activate SIM security. Enter your SIM PIN.
7. Touh and drag the Long tones slider to the right to activate
long tones. When activated, keypad tones will continue to
sound as long as the key is press (instead of the default
short tone).
