Enter text
Enter text and create messages or notes.
Change the text input method
When you open the text input field, the handwriting
mode appears by default.
• To use the virtual keypad, tap HW.
• To use the keypad on the phone, tap KP.
• To use the handwriting mode, tap H.K.
Enter text using the handwriting mode
1. Open the text input field with the phone closed.
2. Write each character in the writing area.
3. Select a character you want to enter.
Enter text using the virtual keypad
1. Open the text input field with the phone closed.
2. Tap HW.
3. Tap the appropriate virtual keys to enter text.
• To select a text input mode, tap Abc.
• To change case in Phrasal EN mode or
English mode, tap Ab.
You can use the following text input modes:
Mode Function
Pinyin
1. Tap the appropriate virtual keys to enter
pinyins.
2. Tap a pinyin.
3. Scroll down to select a character.
4. Tap the character you want.
S Stroke
1. Tap 1 through 5 to enter strokes. Tap 6
when you are unsure which stroke to
enter. This will insert a placeholder.
2. Scroll down to select a character.
3. Tap the character you want.
