Enter text using the keypad
1. Open the text input field with the phone open.
2. Tap HW → KP.
3. Press the appropriate keys to enter text.
• To switch to a text input mode, press [ ]; to
select a text input mode, press and hold [ ]
• To change case in English word or ABC mode,
press [ ].
• To switch to Symbol mode, press and hold [ ].
You can use the following text input modes:
123
Tap the appropriate virtual key to enter a
number.
Symbol
Tap the appropriate virtual key to enter a
symbol.
Phrasal EN
1. Tap the appropriate virtual keys to enter
an entire word.
2. When the word displays correctly, tap
to insert a space. If the correct
word does not display, tap the word
list above the virtual keypad and select
a word.
English
Tap the appropriate virtual key until the
character you want appears on the
display.

Pinyin
1. Press the appropriate alphanumeric
keys to enter pinyins.
2. Scroll left or right to a pinyin.
3. Press
[ ]. A number appears by each
character.
4. Scroll up or down to select a character.
5. Press an alphanumeric key to enter the
corresponding character.
6. When you are finished, press [
C ] to
return to your message.
