Airwaves
1Seg is a broadcasting service that operates on radio waves (airwaves)
different from those for the FOMA service. Therefore, you cannot receive the
1Seg service in locations that airwaves cannot reach or during hours when
program is not available, regardless of whether you are outside of inside the
FOMA service area. Even in areas where the terrestrial digital TV broadcasting
service is available, you may have poor or no reception in the following places:

To get good reception, fully extend the antenna for the 1Seg service. Changing
the orientation of the antenna, moving the terminal away from or closer to your
body, or moving to another location may result in better reception.
